OH has decided to decorate the hall, stairs and landing so de-messying is definitely not on the agenda

He, DS and DS's GF are stripping wallpaper away as I type on here, but I have done a washload, line dried it and ironed it so not all bad.

Old WM and a chest freezer which has been in the shed for over a year have been collected today by the local council, so two large bits of junk removed.

We also sorted the wedding suits today :j

Toying with the idea of a vodka and coke, but not sure how long the drugs will be in my system so better not. Less calories just thinking about it :rotfl:

Have a good evening all, off for a date with my secret love - Matt Smith. Don't know what it is about him but first Dr Who I have liked since John Pertwee - showing my age now ;)

  • Morning...allegedly. It`s still dark...could be worse though, it could be Monday!
GR & JPS, I agree about the weekends (ie 2 days isn`t enough to be a `break`) so I reckon I`m lucky not working Mon-Fri pattern.
Tattycath, ((hugs)) & hope you feel better today, take it easy!
Gilly - I`ve always loved Dr Who, but David Tennant was my favourite!
Have a nice Sunday all xx
  • Am still alive, no time, life chaotic.

Just sending love to you all and ignoring the hideous mess I am living in currently.

    Love Buffy x

Afternoon, or perhaps evening, messies, and welcome to newbies.

Tattycath, sorry to hear you're not well. Take care of yourself- much more important than the state of the house. <HUGS>

Buffy, you take care, too. Love to you, too.

Gilly, I've never been impressed with Matt Smith (I, too, am a huge David Tennant fan - he could recite a nursery rhyme, and I'd be entranced!) but he was brilliant last night, even OH was emotional. Shame the incrtedibly crass Beeb ruined it all by announcing the National Lottery as the scene was just fading, and the music was still going. Sounds messy at your place atm. Still, think how good it'll be when the redecorating's been done.

Grey, breezy and chilly here. Meant to put a WM load on this morning, and forgot. Forgot this afternoon, too, so I'll go and do it NOW!

I see quite a lot of us are feeling poorly or had a lazy Sunday: guess which one applies to me :rotfl:

On the other hand, I got 99p Linda McCartney Lasagna from L*DL AND I packed away all the kitchen non essentials (ornaments, overflow of mugs, etc)

Grey and miserable here, but the driBuddy is on so it's warming up the flat :)
  • Hi everyone!

I haven't posted on here for a while, just had a quick read of the thread!

Things are ticking along nicely, apart from the weather!! I've made a real effort to keep up my routine of keeping on top of the washing and ironing. The chimneys have been swept for the 1st time in 6 years :o!! This week i've got to shop for birthday presents - mr farmer, my god daughter and my best friends daughter, the dog is going in for the snip on Tuesday morning and then i'm defo going to sort the bathroom cupboard!!!

    Hope everyone is ok!!

Hello FW, good to hear you're taking things easy, and there's absolutely nothing going on in your life - as always! ;) Don't wear yourself out, will you?

Ellie, Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest. You're just aking the whole thing seriously! :T
  • Quick up date, hell of a busy week next week, but ordered the guinea pigs a new cage and me a new desk, this *should finally sort out the bedroom from hell. The cage should be easier to clean out and I also bought an indoor run for the Gerbils who need some attention! The run will also do for the piggy wiggys when being clean out. The desk should be bigger enough for the gerbils to live on as well as me to work on and then I will be happy to work upstairs.

Another week of living in chaos but hopefully that will change.

    night all xxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
