Hi everyone
Nice to see some good old de-messying going on - even though its Sunday. I have done some baking to keep OH and the kids going for the week - cheaper than kit-kats and crisps (I think).
Have also had a bit of a hoover and tidy, put some washing away and had a swipe round the bathroom.
We have lit the fire tonight. One of the benefits of our old shed blowing down in the gales last winter was that we have stored tons of wood that is suitable for burning. My Dad bless him spent ages sawing it into pieces on the table saw while I stacked it in the log shed. Its very wet and miserable tonight so we will have a bit of free heat. I just have to brave the spiders in the log shed to bring it in...
Oh and I really need to sit down and make a mealplan. I hate doing it but it makes life easier and I am sure it saves me money. Need to get DS2 in the bath too and make sure he has packed his bag for morning.
Enjoy the rest of Sunday everyone!0 -
Well my boy came home from London with all his worldly goods he is between jobs till November so we are going to be hosting him and his stuff till then, at least we have somewhere to put them now but not much de-cluttering till he's gone again0

Demessing wise today hasn't been very productive but I managed to remove a lot of paint from the stone fireplace, over the last 2 weekends me & OH have applied (and removed) about a dozen coats of paint stripper and today I can see mainly stone
and OH has painted the first coat on the room we are decorating it looks that we could possibly get this room finished, furnishings back curtains up etc before the end of October, I know this sounds a long way off but we are very busy over the next few weeks.
We have managed to keep most other things ticking over but I did pop my head into the living room before coming to bed and the living floor is covered with lego and play mobile thanks to my 2 and their cousins, should take them long to tidy up in the morning as long as they don't get distracted playing.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Alec e, you caved into the cupboard top thing, then?
I didn't cave, I'm just really nosey and thought seeing as we'd been talking about it I'd have a look!
We had a ten minute tidy about the place last night, DH washed up and cleaned the sink, I put laundry away and put a few bits and bobs away and chucked out a yukky bathmat. It meant everywhere looked nice when I got up this morning.
Today I've done the minimums, put some laundry on and am now having a cuppa and writing the shopping list and menu plan. Going to nip to town later for some stuff and go to the library. That's about it for today I think . Have a good day everyone.0 -

Hi Everyone,
It is almost 3 weeks since my Op and I still feel like crap so going to the Doctors this afternoon.
I know and expect the cut to still be painful, but around the outside the skin feels like it is burning - so wondering if there is an infection. Also need to ask what happens about HRT as the hot flushes are doing my head in, broken sleep making me grumpy so then the depression feels worse.
On the plus side I have lost a stone in weight without trying.
You are all doing so well and the animal pics are cheering me up, will try to post some of our Bailey who is now 7 months old and known as a Border Terrierist.
Take care and best wishes to all xx0 -
Hi I can't believe my last post was 14 Aug...over a month ago. Holiday was good but came back and got poorly quite quickly so no
progress on homefront. Getting better now so time to join in again.
Today I have cleared bedroom floor and hoovered. Then did the stairs and hall. Had to stop as got tired. Have done 2 loads of washing and two lots of hand wash items. Towels now in, rest on the line and another load coming to an end. Still a problem of where to put it all when dry but at least I know it's clean. Trying to make sure I get up and do one small thing in each ad break. Off to peel tatties for dinner.
Loving the cat pics, wish we could have one.
