  • Oh kitchen cupboard tops. Now they are waaay down the list of priorities. Whoever designed my kitchen put in some useless open shelves at each end of the run of the top cupboards. Too small to really put anything on and they get so grimy. I have to confess I dont clean these as often as I should.

Not done much today, been out dog walking with my parents which was far nicer than cleaning but I must do something tomorrow! And like Bearcub I dont work so shouldnt really need to do housework on a Sunday but where does the time go???

Glad the fridge freezer has arrived JPS! Off to get ready for bed I think, my book and duvet are calling me.

well, got back from being out all day and managed to spend £11 on three plants (i'm an addict)) and didn't get home til 5.30pm. had a massive dinner (didn't have lunch), watched Paradise End on Iplayer, chilled for a bit. and just done the washing up and finally did the hoovering (only front room, bathroom and kitchen. upstairs can wait!) don't think i can manage the cupboards til tomorrow (maybe???)

was meant to have gone to the lotti today, but didn't. but will do, tomorrow morning. plant some new plants that i bought in the last 2weeks (6) and crop some beans.

if it's too nice and sunny like it was today (!) prob. not do much on the lotti (haven't done since the bad weather this year) and just hang about chatting to lotti friends... and then traipse up a massive steep hill to chill out again at home.

ok, i know i've fallen out of habit with the cleaning routine. being short-sighted doesn't help as i don't need to wear my spex unless i'm in work, in a unfamiliar environment or on the lappie. but if i'm in the house, i don't wear them at all. altho' if i do wear them, i see all the ingrained dirt like in the grouting, or the feint marks on the tiles, or dusty skirting. it's not a pretty at all (frightening actually) so that's why i seldom wear my spex in the house. do others feel the same way???!

Only to mop the kitchen floor and I am done for today.

LOOKS tidy. As long as nobody opens any cupboards etc - it is fine.....

Need to do the kicthen window tomorrow, done the living room window today but then it got dark so left the kitchen one.

Both kitchen and living room -no nets/no curtains so every paw/nose mark really shows....

Changed my bedding, done 4 loads of washing (bedding, blankets, cats/dog blankets) and now running the w/m on "self clean" or will have fur coats when I wash MY clothes tomorrow.. so much fur everywhere....

Damp dusted all, cleaned glass tables, washed (yeah, with soapy water) sofars/armchairs, winwon sills (spelling????), all low level cupboards tops. Washed up all in the kitchen, cleaned tops/doors from the kitchen units.

Vacuumed/mopped all the floors. Cleaned the bathroom.

Cleaned cat litter bnoxes, dog/cat bowls etc etc.. sighhhhh

Now - taking the dog for the lasdt walk of the day and.. may watch some telly/read a book....

EDIT - just had a look in the bedroom, all 4 cats sprawled over my double CLEAN bed.. sigh....

    LOve them furies ;)
  • My old boy, Tiger ginger boy (had to be PTS 2 years ago, kidney cancer) know that he was top dog at home....

Have a look.... Law and Order in the living room, everyone knew their place ;)

I am single too (very happily single) - all my 4 cats are boys.. Zara the dog is a girl LOL
  • Adorable photo of Tiger with your daughter. I live vicariously through others cats and dogs now! I know it's only a matter of time before I present himself with a box of anti-histamines and smuggle a little fur ball through the front door when he isn't looking!
  • Oh, found this one.. When I got George - my current ginger boy...

    Little and Large ;)

Years ago a friend had a huuuuge doberman (more of a rottie with a dobie's head really!) and a cat that had just had kittens. The cat had made a nest in the kitchen cupboard and when I went round she said i could cuddle a kitten. I went to put the kitten back after a minute or two and she said no, I had to let the dog sniff it first. I was terrified that this ginormous monster would eat it in one gulp but did as she said. he sniffed it and stood back, then she allowed me to put the baby back. Once all the kittens were passed to him for inspection we had to leave the room and I swear he then went to the cupboard and counted that all three were back with mum before leaving the room. If anyone went into the kitchen he followed them to make sure no one was trying to steal a kitten! Was even funnier a few weeks later when he was trying to sleep on the floor and had three sharp toothed kittens trying to suckle him!
