Adorable photo of Tiger with your daughter. I live vicariously through others cats and dogs now! I know it's only a matter of time before I present himself with a box of anti-histamines and smuggle a little fur ball through the front door when he isn't looking!
Not that I want to convince or push or whatever...
My 4 when I got them.....
Now the silver tabby Fiona and black and white Phoebe live in Cumbria with my daughter....
Here - Zara with HER "puppies" - honestly I am shocked they did not grow up to bark
The ginger boy George and tabby and white boy Fred are here with me.
PLus a 9kg of Teddy silver with white chest/socks and baby Macius tabby skinny legs boy....0 -

Years ago a friend had a huuuuge doberman (more of a rottie with a dobie's head really!) and a cat that had just had kittens. The cat had made a nest in the kitchen cupboard and when I went round she said i could cuddle a kitten. I went to put the kitten back after a minute or two and she said no, I had to let the dog sniff it first. I was terrified that this ginormous monster would eat it in one gulp but did as she said. he sniffed it and stood back, then she allowed me to put the baby back. Once all the kittens were passed to him for inspection we had to leave the room and I swear he then went to the cupboard and counted that all three were back with mum before leaving the room. If anyone went into the kitchen he followed them to make sure no one was trying to steal a kitten! Was even funnier a few weeks later when he was trying to sleep on the floor and had three sharp toothed kittens trying to suckle him!
Yep.. been there too....

Hi everyone I've just caught up with all your posts. I haven't done much this week as we celebrated nephew birthday and the next day I developed a cold, don't think they were related. Dd has also had a cold/sore throat, she is a lot better today. Yesterday ds had a sore throat and a blocked nose but says he feels alright in his self and today oh cold started. I'm feeling a little better, but I am finding even doing the littlest thing is exhausting. I've made sure everybody is getting plenty of rest and lots to drink.
Today ds went to his drama class, he was fine before he went in and very enthusiastic when he left. I think it helped that most of the children are new to the group, he had previously attended a different group run by the same leaders and a friend of his also started today.
This hectic week I've managed to keep up with the DW hokey cokey, oh has done some more decorating, it is a big room with masses of preparations needing doing, including caulking, filing, stripping paint from stone fire place, sanding, priming woodwork and then one day we will be able to paint the wall. I've also swept the living 3 times this week, well having done once and removed lots of dust & dirt I have been attempting to keep up with it. I've washed the filter for the vacuum. Swept the kitchen a few times.
Having taken ds to drama and run a few errands this morning I spent most of the afternoon catching up with emails and taking it easy.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent
79.5 coupons rolled over 4/75.5 coupons spent - using for secondhand purchases

Morning all. I`m feeling very `shopping-lagged` after yesterday....so much for my intentions of a quick strike! Ended up traipsing all over town with DGD, one of those "while we`re here let`s have a quick look in - just about every shop!" (Got her 2 pairs of Ugs, trousers/tops & a jacket).
Then to make matters worse I made a pie. (Household term for this is `Committing Pie`!) I`d cooked some YS chicken thighs, had the pepsi ham leftovers to use, & some tired mushrooms..made the sauce from scratch, so no apologies for using a pack of chilled puff pastry! With leeky mash and steamed yellow chard. It was all very yummy but...
Committing Pie (even with ready-made pastry) involves clearing a normally cluttered part of kitchen worktop, sprinkling the whole kitchen with flour (it just happens!), and letting DGD do something Creative with leftover pastry. There always has to be some leftover pastry... my big pie-dish gets scraped by DS, but still needs leaving to soak. Kitchen next morning always looks like a crime scene...
I haven`t faced it yet....0 -
Morning messies! I've had a lovely lazy Sunday so far - a lie in, a nice shower, changed bedding and a leisurely breakfast of scramelette eggs (my version of microwaved eggs with cheese
) with crumpets (naughty!)
It was soooo lovely to get up and open the fridge door, and not be greeted by a slightly musty smell and warming foodstuffs. It's such a novelty to have a working fridge again (the freezer kept working fine till it packed up last week) and not have to swap gel packs all the time.
It's a bit chillier today - I felt it coming last night and finally made up a long fleece nightie type thing from blankets I bought for £2.99 a few months ago. I'm really pleased with the results - it should last the winter to keep me all toasty and warm.
It hasn't started raining here yet so I might go and see about cutting a few logs up for the fire.
Have a lovely day messies, whatever you are up to!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

I daren't even try committing pie... I'm bad enough when I make bread and that's using a breadmaker!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Morning all. Have been quite productive today. 2 loads of washing done and in the spare room to dry; frittata made for brunch; 2 loads in dishwasher; kitchen had a quick going over to regain spotlessness and work trousers hemmed for work tomorrow.
Want to shampoo downstairs carpets; clean aquarium; clean degu cage; tidy bedroom and sort out winter clothes and then cook veggie cottage pie ready for dinner tomorrow.
Onwards!0
