I'm glad you managed to keep calm, Cat. It'll make her respect you so much more, although I know from personal experience that it's not at all easy to keep your cool. Sleep well.

Star's come out hiding, but she's still very wary, so I daren't use the camera. She's had a good look round the bungalow, though.

Still no de-messying, apart from one WM load. Things will have to improve tomorrow!

BB, such good news about your DS! I hope he's brave enough to take up the offer because, if nothing else, it'll give him a really worthwhile hobby as he's growing up. If it goes beyond that, then it won't have been wasted. I love the idea of DW hokey cokey. :rotfl:

Yes I hope he takes up the offer. Most of the time he is a confident, but every now and then his confidence disappears and he doesn't want to join in with things until it's too late and then he gets upset at the lost opportunity.

Very little happened here today except washing dried outside. We then visited my sister for lunch & the afternoon and ended up staying for dinner. So no demessing but equally no messing.

Tomorrow I want to have a quick going over the areas I've made headway in recently to keep on top of them.

    Hi everyone,

Glad the cats arrived safe and sound!

I think I said I tidied the garage the other day. Well, it's still full of junk but DH is going to do a tip run at the weekend. So one of us has to saw up the old sofa (white bun chewed a hole in it) to get it into the car, everything else is ready to go.

Help me to chuck something - I have two mattress covers, not the ones with a nice fleecy bit of top but ridiculous ones that I have to squeeze the mattress into. It's really difficult and I hate them but I can't seem to get them into the rag bag...

Today I need to go to the town for some masking tape as I finished my quilt top last night and need to baste *eeeeeeek*. Once I have the masking tape I can also finish painting the spare room so it's a double whammy. Plus I really need some exercise so a little walk to town will do me good (it's about half a mile away but I act like it's 50). Other than that I have done all my minimum tasks for the day and will be getting on with my wallhanging.

Have a good day, hope it's sunny again.
  • Morning

Just popping in to say good luck in the new job FW, hope it goes well.

Awww lovely cat pics. We lost our cat in an accident on the road outside so I said I would never have another but they are lovely creatures.

Got to get on, too much temptation to dawdle around on here and there is much de-messying to be done!
  • Oh and Alec - could you take the mattress covers to the charity shop? Go on - take one into town with you and get rid. Think of the extra calories you will burn off carrying it if nothing else....

I'm going to do it! And I'm going to take the things that are in the garage that have been hanging around for ages. Thanks.

Sorry for butting in ,but had to post when I saw those gorgeous cats! You are so lucky to have such a lovely pair of kitties. I would love to have a cat, but himself is allergic so I can't have one. Real shame.

oh, don't think i haven't thought about it!

I did once suggest we get a cat and himself could live in the shed to avoid the cat hair. It didn't go down too well!
