Buffy, I think you're stressing yourself out so much that it's making you physically ill :( I don't really know what to suggest if you can't force yourself to relax :( I hope the cinema thing does come off tonight, it'll do you good to get out if you're feeling up to it :( xx

I can see so much good news in your post - ie that everything is in sorted piles!! You'll be able to see it yourself soon hun, especially when things start going xx

thanks,I had a nap and the cinema is a go so I will leave the piles behind and lose mtself at the movies for a bit.

and I do think you are right Cat. I need to relax a little! I think I do just want a day where it all goes and is finished.

    xxx

    Hello messies
well yesterday was spent doing a little bit of tidying bu not very much, I have managed to get OH on board with it a little more though. I think he's realised that I'm less stressed when he puts stuff away after he's used it :)
This morning we did the boot sale, made just over £100 in just over 2 hours before we decided it was far too cold and wet!! so brought alot of clutter back home and plan to do another when the weather promises to be drier.
All in all though a successful 3 day weekend, back to work tomorrow though :(

    Afternoon Messies.

Coo, it's got so dark i here that I can hardly see the keyboard. Think it's going to tip down in a mo.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so rough, Buffy, and I hope you feel lots better soon. As Cat says, you've still managed to do so much!

Laurel, I've seen the Foos live, so I agree wholeheartedly and I'm :D DD2 suspects that I have a 'thing' for Dave Grohl - of course, I deny it totally. Did you get to see Green Day's set at 11 am? Also brilliant, although age is catching up with Billy Joe - even he's not immune. ;)

Alec e, I'm glad the visit went well. it sounds as if the bunnies' home is considerably better than a lot of rented accommodation!

    Cat, how did it go?

Lizzie, well done on how much you made at the sale. Don't blame you for baling out, almost literally by the sound of it.

One WM load done today, which best part dried before I borught it in, as the sky was getting threatening. Cleaned the bathroom, changed the towels, and put away the washing-up. Spent the rest of the time on the pooter, tranferring data from one site to another. Ho hum.

Was definitely almost a literal bail out, it absolutely poured down, we knew it was forecast but had hoped it would hold off a little longer than it did!
Have done the research though and theres another quite popular one nearby that runs every sunday until November so hoping for a dry weekend soon where we can shift the rest of the stuff.
Need to go and clear up the kitchen but think I will hold off a little longer and rope OH in to help at around 8.30pm

bearcub thanks, it was good :). She was really nice and I felt quite comfortable, which is the main thing I think! She said if there were any questions I didn't want to answer I didn't have to, but I replied that there would be no point in me being there if I didn't! Anyway, back in two weeks to finish the assessment. I definitely see CBT on the way, less sure if there will be any psychotherapy. :)

A "thing" for Dave Grohl? That's normal, surely?:p I wonder if word had filtered round at all about Green Day's surprise appearance? If not, it must have been a heckuva big surprise! I saw them waaay back in 2001 and they were fantastic :)

gettingready I'm just about to go and cut DS's hair, so when I'm finished I could nip down to your place with the clippers? I'm good at shaving - twice in the past I've forgotten to put the length attachment on before starting his hair:o

lizzie I don't blame you for leaving either! Good profit though! Wish I had something decent to sell, anything I get rid of only ever seems to be fit for the tip. I didn't make it there today as my dad couldn't get home from work till tonight, so I'll go tomorrow or Wednesday. And I wish I could train my kids to put things away like you've trained your OH!:o

Have done a little more tidying in my room, not much though. No panic, looking round, I think I can get it all done by Thursday if I crack on over the next two days. Not ironing and stuff like that of course, just getting the place presentable enough :p As long as this cold stays as it is and doesn't get worse, it'll be fine :)

eta sorry gettingready, went to the shop in the middle of that post and thought I'd already commented on your vid...that's very cute!!
  • Hi everyone!

Had a bit of a strange day today, i overslept  and woke up with an awful headache :(. Just pottered about till lunchtime then fed the hungry hoards. I asked mr farmer to light the woodburner in the living room so that i could dry some washing as its poured down here for days! So while he wasn't looking i had a sneaky snooze on the sofa with the dog :rotfl:!! Felt much better after that and went into overdrive getting the supper sorted and doing little jobs like emptying the bins in the house etc.
I've just sat down now as i had the urge to bake and have made peanut biccies, flapjack & an iced sponge.

Tomorrow i'm meeting up with my cousin and her 2 year old, hopefully the weather will be kind to us!

    Hope everyone is ok!!

    Big hugs!!

    Jxx
    It's a farmers life for me......:j
