Yeah yeah yeah.. I wish I had the self discipline to do that... sigh

Hi everyone!!
I've been M.I.A. lately, sorry!!! It's not because i've been de-messying! Just been busy with the kids, mr farmer & general day to day stuff.
The house isn't any tidier, i've been at the County Tennis Championships for the past two days, so have got nothing at all done in the house. On the bright side my 10 year old got through to the under 10's girls singles semi-final which she has to play on Saturday!! i'm so proud!! She also got through to the under 10's girls doubles final with her friend, they didn't win but had a very good go! Youngest daughter came 4th in the under 8's singles yesterday, 5th in the under 9's singles and also got the runner-up trophy in the doubles!! I have very happy daughters at the moment! :T
I seriously need to do some sorting out in the house tomorrow, it's so bad that i don't know where to start!
Well done to everybody that's cracking on with their tidying etc!!!

I started today by.. having a coffee and reading this thread. Then took some photos to embarass myself and get my ermmmm into action0 -
gettingready - you have done very well, i know what you mean about this thread being a good motivation!!!
One of my main problems is that in the school hols i lose my routine and find it hard to get on top of things!! (not that my house is tidy during term time!).
I know that i need to get up early in a morning and the day goes a lot better for me!!

FW, congrats to your DDs, obviously very talented youngsters. Very busy time for farmers, isn't it? We've had the almost constant hum of combines going on around us, which I find rather comforting. One local farm, though, had the misfortune to have their harvesting stopped when the field was just a third cut. Don't know why, maybe the combine broke down. With what had been cut just lying on the field, we were forecast heavy rain yesterday. On Friday, what had been cut was baled, but the rest got soaked yesterday after weeks of dry weather. They must be sick.
GR, your place looks wonderful, so well done. Is your dog a Belgian shepherd? Lovely elegant dogs. I love Teddy's face - he looks a grump, but I doubt he is, somehow.
I can't completely agree with your view of e-cloths. They're ok with just water for a while, but I've found that eventually, especially with summer flies, the cloths, even when regularly washed, just move the dirt around. Our back windows face SW, and the sun shows up the dirt horribly. Mostly I just use water, but every so often, I use Stardrops to wash, and an e-cloth to remove streaks.
Buffy, maybe, just maybe, you've enough pets for now. :rotfl:
Cat, I missed that your appointment is tomorrow. I hope it goes really well. Just be honest!
I now have a lot of pieces of paper spread across the room. I love family history, but it does take some sorting, as I'm making up folders of info for the DDs.0 -
Zara is a mutt, definitely not a Belgian Shepherd.. parents were supposingly German Shepherds but.. she is a Gumtree babe so.. who knows

She has the smallish face of a Belgian, but she's very beautiful, whatever. As for Teddy, he's a real teddy size, isn't he?
You've been exceptionally busy, so enjoy your 'me' time. A treat of some kind, too, maybe?0 -
