My home is a mess

Gosh Getteringready, your kitchen looks positively tidy compared to mine! I have done the washing up but I have tons of decorating stuff hanging around in there at the moment so it's verrrrrry messy.
I always feel very aggrieved when the dust and bits come back after I've hoovered... it just doesn't last does it?!
Back to the decorating, I've been procrastinating like mad today.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Ermm that is just a part of my kitchen - keep this in mind
Cats are out, I am cleaning (I have cat fur on the hob rings too) - will finish tidying up (not proper clean) by 5pm - will last till... till I bring the cats back from the garden sigh....
I am looking at doors/door frames/walls (to the height of the dog) and slowly loose will to live....0 -
I have sanded, re-filled, pottered, been to Lidl, and I'm going to do a tricky bit (that is, a bit where it's hard to tell the colours apart) of my needlepoint while it's still light.
After all, I can't do anything more in the kitchen until this layer of filling is dry...import this0 -
Afternoon Messies and welcome to gettingready and Wesker.
Well, that's it you see - one person's mess is another's reasonably clean, GR and jps.
GR, I understand your frustration with the cat litter - our cat (recently pts) was a terror for shooting litter across the floor. She was little more than a house cat (did go outside, more for a breath of air than anything else, and came straight back in), and nearly always preferred a tray. Horrible first thing in the morning, but I have to say that the wood-based stuff doesn't spread and turn into dust like the other type. As for the fur, if you have pets, it's a way of life. In our house, that involves horse hair and mud, too.
As for gadgets, I don't really have any, although I do have a couple of e-cloths. I recently discovered Stardrops that so many MSE people rave about. I've yet to discover all its possibilities, but it's good for bathrooms and windows.
Well done, Buffy, for all you've got done, yesterday and today. It wasn't so bad, was it?
I'm glad you feel better today, jps. Sounds as if you wore yourself out with all the decorating.
I've done very little de-messying in the last couple of days, although a pile of washed and dried towels glowered at me once too often, and I've just put them away. The bathroom's been cleaned, but I do the loo and basin almost every day, anyway. I've got caught up again in working on family history and, once I get involved, hours just fly by. Good, though!0 -
Oh - this is not a normal wood based litter, this is a wood based but clumping one, Tigerino - same c...ap as OKO if anyone asks me.... Can not wait to get back to Golden Grey I was using before but Tigerino was on offer and bough ermmmm almost a lorry full so got to use it now, terrible, TERRIBLE tracking
3 loads of washing done, my bedroom done (including freshly washed/dried bedding), bathroom done, cat/dog dishes/litter boxes sorted, 3 windows cleaned.... small break now...
With e cloths no need for anything at all - just clean water. For glass, tiles, silver looking stuff...
Now - living room, kitchen and hallway.. sigh.. did I say will finidsh at 5? yeah rite.. am perhaps LOL
I need to wash the sofas with soapy water - they are THAT bad...... window done though so...
Do not have nets/curtains in the living room - cat tree stands by the window - peopkle stop and watch my lot lounging on the cat tree when I have the lighs on lol
Oh yes, got to vacuum the cat tree too... as well as the whole room and mop and.. sigh...0 -
gettingready that's the shiniest shower screen I've ever seen!! (Try saying THAT after a couple of glasses of wine!;)) I'm quite tempted by those e-cloths now
As for the rest, it's like a show home, lovely!!
I don't have any gadgets though I've been tempted by those steam mops.
jps, thank you for the good wishes!x
Still haven't done anything but in my defence I'm not feeling good at all, bad headache and pains around my nose. Need to get it checked out if it doesn't go away 'cos an infection wouldn't be good after the op apparently. I did have to go to Mr A though, where I bought....ready meals *waits to be struck down by the OS gods*:o:o0 -
Thanks but as I said - I would be lost without my ecloths.. windows are the same.. jus finishing the living room.. jesusssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
I have simply locked the second bedroom (it is clean) - since my daughetr moved out - i is better locked. If open - the hairy mosters will get there too LOLAs for the rest, it's like a show home, lovely!!
Ermmm - may I suggest you scroll up to 8644 and 8646?
LOL0 -
Your home is lovely Gettingready
and I now have a terrible case of cat tree envy!
I have a covered cat loo these days (I originally said "I use a..." but thought I'd better rephrase that), which does seem to stop the litter tracking a bit. I also am very lucky in that I have an area by the back door that is out of the way of the rest of the house, sort of. Litter tracks there a bit but is fairly well contained.
I've made some good progress on the bedroom, and will get the top coat on in a couple of hours' time, so tomorrow it will just be the final touches and putting the shelves up (had the shelves for 15 years, so it's about time really)
I'm just preparing some runner beans Mum brought me from her garden, then will have some tea before attacking the decorating again.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Thanks Jpscloud ..
Had the hooded one but did not work for me, with 4 cats it was a nightmare to have to open to get the ermmmm stuff out sevaral times per day. And tracking was the same...
Right now I have 2 massive open trays.. in my living room.. hallways way too narrow and bedromm - nah.... lol
Right - living room done .. unfortunately 2 of the 4 cats decided to come home early before dark) so any minute now the litter all over will start again....
Off to the kitchen..I have a feeling that 5pm is longgggggggggggggggg gone lol0 -
