OK - my list for Sunday....when I get up....

    1) Clean the insides of all windows (4 cat noses and a dog nose marks + 5 sets of paw prints etc etc)
    2) Clean the bathroom (glas shower screen, done the tiles last week - not doing it again this week)
    3) Change my bed
    4) Dust (ie damp clean) all the surfaces (tops of cupboards etc)
    4) Vacuum all flat
    5) Mop all flat

The above in addition to cleaning litter boxes/feeding the lot/walking the dog....

    Wish me luck pls....

Doors/frames/walls in corridor - possibly MOnday as I am off....

Hi messies :) 2 days away and I'm overwhelmed by posts so I'll just say well done everyone on your achievements, and a big welcome to any new messies! Good luck with your list gettingready, remember, even if you don't get it all done, you've still achieved so give yourself a pat on the back! :)

Things are baaaaad here - it's the Flat of Doom. I'm not sure how it has spun out of control so quickly, but it has. The good thing is, I have DDs dad arriving, probably Thursday, for DD2's 18th on Friday, so I HAVE to get it done!

Last night I did most of the dishes, and swept the kitchen floor. I had to. I was putting wedges and fishcakes on a baking tray, and somehow managed to flip the whole thing over so they all went on the floor. *sigh*. Started again with a new lot......well, I'm sure I don't have to tell you what happened next....DS was doubled up laughing, I was left wondering why I'd suddenly turned into the clumsiest woman on earth. I left it to him to do after that!

Today I need to dredge up some motivation from somewhere, and get my bedroom done. Tomorrow, it's a trip to the dump and my first appt with the psychologist:eek:

Hugs everyone! Been reading some of THAT thread...;)....and it's made me very glad that I generally stick to this one :) xx

eta I'll try and come on later and reply to some posts and hopefully by then I'll have something to report for once :D

OK-today I WILL get on with some wall prep.

Yesterday, I spent the rest of the day sewing, but it's needlepoint, and progress is measured in postage stamp sized chunks. I don't know why it's important, really. It's a Christmas stocking, but the children bonded to their "temporary" ones years ago and there didn't seem much point continuing. It's just that it's two-thirds done...pity to abandon it now.

Anyway-to the block...the sanding block, that is...shuffles feet reluctantly...have a good day, Messies!

GR, i have to say that every time you post pictures of your cats/dog (which is a lot :D ) i am amazed at how clean your place always looks.

Welcome to messyland Gettingready and Wesker

Good luck for tomorrow Cat - hope it goes really well.

Hope the killer shift goes better than expected, Emm, may all the crises be small and short lived!

Well done to everyone else for whatever progress made. I did the sensible thing and rested yesterday, feeling much better this morning and will be off to start in a minute - just had to sort some paperwork out first.

It's supposed to be lovely today but we were stuck under a long-lived shower until now... the sun is just peeping out, finally!

    Have a lovely day everyone!

Ermmmm - I may be good at taking photos while avoidin the mess ;)

BUT - it is a mess everywhere. Not clutter ( i do not hoard anything) but mess/dirt (cat litter, dust, pet hair, paw prints etc etc)

On my first coffee now (got up at 11 as went to bed at 5am) but will start in a bit.. got to see to the furies first.. sigh....

EDIT1: Dog checked the garden for the "terrible blac cat attacking my cats", let my 4 cats out, put bedding in the washing machine. So - started.... The only thing is thatno matter what I do - within a day I am back to square one with mess as described above :(

EDIT2: 2 windows done, thanks to e-cloth... another 3 to do... sigh....

    Just wondering so will as:

What are the things/gadgets that you use that make cleaning easier/faster?

Personally I have no idea how did I ever manage without an e-cloth.

Got one for bathroom and one for glass - can be used on stainless steel too. I have no idea what life was like before those?

They seem a bit pricey (around a tenner for a set) but last ages, no need for any detergent, only use clean water with them and results are always brillint (till cats/dog paw the window, walk on glas tables etc but that is another story)

    For windows/glass:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/E-cloth-Window-Cleaning-Cloth-Polishing/dp/B002KQ5CLE/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1345984518&sr=8-3

    For shower/tiles:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/E-cloth-Shower-Cloth-Polishing-Suction/dp/B0027SWMFE/ref=sr_1_8?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1345984631&sr=1-8

TBH - both do exactly the same so could do with one alone but ages ago got both. The shower pack is white/cream (not a very good colour) and prefer the green/ble kitchen pack, use it on absolutely everything "shiney" - glass, metal, taps etc etc

Also, a rubber broom - absolutely brilliant with laminate floors and few pets at home. Quicker than dragging vacuum cleaner out of the cupboard/connecting etc... and brillinat at picking up any heir/dust too. Best £10.00 I have ever spent. Similar to this one:
