    Good Luck Emm :T

I would have done the 10 min thing but it would have been soul destroying for me lol.

I went with the pilling a load of stuff on the bed so I could get to the wardrobe. Then i tackled the boxes ect in the wardrobe and threw a load of clothes out. I did possibly go a little mad on that front but it need to be done :(

I then made up a girlie stuff bag ie make up, bath stuff, jewlery ect. An underwear bag which I need to go through and chuck anything too small or that doesn't have a partner (socks). My washing machine seems to lose socks in abundance. Does this happen to anyone else?

Then I just started to sort through it. There is still a lot to be done but I am getting there which is the main thing.

After this bedroom it will be the spare bedrooms turn then finally the front room (this is the biggest task because of the darn dogs)

    Afternoon Messies.

Emms, I just loved the story of the neighbour and the chalk. good for you, girl, I say! :rotfl: A belated Happy Birthday - I'm glad you had a good day.

Well done, Faith, Jps, laurel and FW for all your de-messying, and belated Happy Anniversary.

I'm pleased to hear your back's easing up a tad, soworried, just don't be tempted to overdo it.

Wilf, I hope, for your peace of mind, that you've got going on the list by now.

Have done 1 WM load, picked fruit, cleaned bathroom. Don't feel like do any more tbh!

Sadly, it looks as if DD2 and her bf won't be sorting out their relationship. It's sad, but since bf started working with his father again a couple of weeks ago, he's become so verbally abusive to DD, that he's become unbearable to live with. He's just becoming like his father, who behaved in a similar way to his mum. DD's packed up a lot of her stuff, and is moving in with friends for a couple of days, to see if bf intends to do anything to mend the relationship. If not, then DD will find another flat (her name alone is on the tenancy agreement, but she can't afford the rent on her own), and bf will have to find somewhere else to live. I feel so sad for both of them, as things had been going so well for 3 years, but obviously my D comes first! Going to be a bit odd on Thursday, though, as both DDs, bf's mum and I are meeting up in Portsmouth. Hmm. :(
  • Steady, Faith!! Sounds like you`re getting through it quite well.
Wilf - try the timer thing?
I only actually did 2 ten-minute bursts - amazed how much stuff you can shift in that time though. I sorted
1 Mr T shopping bag of rubbish
2 washing baskets clothes for washing. (now washed & hanging outside too!)
sorted a pile of tangled coat-hangers (they breed here)
Hung up some trousers and tops that were ok, just thrown on the desk
Found 2 vest tops that don`t fit - DGD now has them!
    Phew!
Bedroom still a bit scarey but big improvement.
And THEN - I went to H`base and treated myself to some more lavender plants cos I`m jealous of JPS!!
Things were going SO well - went to make a coffee when I got home, and dropped a watermelon on the kitchen floor! DGD to hysterical to help, I rescued most of it but keep finding exploded bits....
  • Bearcub, that`s so sad. My DD had an ex like that - but was otherwise a really lovely chap. My DD did the right thing ending it, I know, and even she said it was hard to do. He still greets me with a big hug if I bump into him, even though they`ve both moved on and have their own families with other partners now, he says he still regards me as `family`. Surely your DD`s BF`s mum will understand, if she`s been on the receiving end too, and your get-together should still go well.

Very sorry to hear about that relationship bearcub, but in my experience (and that of many others) abusive tendencies don't often get better, they get worse. It's a shame because normally the abusive person doesn't want to be abusive and sometimes doesn't even realise they are being so.

Well done everyone who is tackling mess today... I finished the bedroom!!

Not only that but I also took some books and other things to the CS (go me!) and picked up a couple of things at the shops, am just now having a ham sandwich and watching the dressage.

Will settle for getting more washing done and maybe a bit of spare room tidying later.

Well done Emm, so glad the tidying went well! Sorry about the lavender envy, but it's such good stuff and your hotel residents will love it ;)

I couldn't help laughing at your melon mishap - watermelons have to be the most spectacular of exploding fruit, don't they? :D

The boss is back today and read the report Bupa gave them following my conversation with them last week and STILL has questions! Just spent 20 mins having to justify everything I do and eat I can't take it! He hasn't even got the balls to ask me himself gets my TL to do it! She came in with a sheet with highlighted points that he wanted clarification on. What part of STRESS related does he not get !!!!!!!
