Happy belated birthday Emm. :bdaycake: x

Happy belated anniversary FW, how many years is it?. x

Thankyou all for your messages, my back is still agony. I spent the day lying in bed with a hot water bottle, it doesn't seem any worse today so I hope it will start to ease off now. :(

No de-messying yesterday and I won't get any done today but my family are keeping up on the kitchen so we don't get food poisoning. _pale_

It is nice to have you back cat. :kisses:

Well done soworried, don't be tempted to try doing anything even if your back does feel slightly better, you'll only put yourself back to square one - glad the family are taking care of the kitchen!

    Hope everyone's celebrations went well!

I am feeling much better today, not sure what that was all about yesterday. I am tackling the bedroom this morning so that I have one room clean and tidy to start with... I always feel much better then. I need to put up some shelves in there, and finish painting it (two and a half years after starting!!)

Have a great day whatever you are doing today.

Edit: *gentle kick up the bum* for wilf!

    I started my bedroom :j

6 black sacks of clothes to wash though :( only because most of them are covered in fur

I threw out loads of stuff including clothes. This is a massive achievement for me as I never normally throw anything away.

I did what people suggest about the boxes and have found I have FAR to much make up & bath products (I think I could stock a store for the Body Shop no problem :o)

A friend is going to do my washing for me as he is off work atm and is bored so that will help me a lot to get the piles down so I can concentrate on the other junk.

I am working tonight which is really annoying as I am in the mood to tidy now.

OH is going to look at a pub in Reading that he might be managing today so hopefully have some news on that sick of being in limbo :(

    Morning Messies.

Will read through, and post more later. Didn't get in yesterday, for a number of reasons; showjumping on tv, Mum needed me when someone came to check the 'mechanics' of her solar panels (OH wasn't at home), multiple phone calls to two DDs, trying to plan a meet-up on Thursday and a trip to the horse show at Olympia in December and, late in the evening, DD2 sobbing down the phone because she and bf are having more than a few problems. :( Quite surprisingly, I slept pretty well. See you later.

Well done Faith! I've got some stuff together for CS and am halfway through cleaning the bedroom (have got the bed changed, and I've also been grievously distracted by the olympics!) I am not letting myself have my shower until it's done, though.

Good luck with the news as well Faith.

Happy belated birthday Emm, sorry I didn't notice, being all caught up in my own birthday mini-drama and it's aftermath (hangover)!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • FW & Mr Farmer - Happy Anniversary for yesterday. Well done on the kids rooms - DGD is back with us now so we may start trying to find her carpet again...
SoWorried - Glad your back is no worse today - remember if you are up and about today to just keep moving GENTLY, and still rest it plenty. No de-Messying!!
Wilf - `gentle kick`...bit hypocritical of me as I could do with one myself!
JPS & Faith - I think I`ll join you on the `bedroom blitz` today, at least make a start. I`m going to try the `timer` method...see what I can do in a series of ten-minute bursts. JPS, I`m glad you feel better today, but don`t go and overdo it today!
Bearcub - hope your DD & the BF sort things out - I hate it when DS or DD have their upheavals, you can listen but have to let them sort it out themselves - makes you feel so helpless, I find.
Thanks for the birthday wishes folks - I did have a lovely day, no hangover this morning either, just over-ate last night after the real ale! (Nobody else wanted onion rings with their curry, so I ate most of the pack myself. PIG that I am!)
((Hugs)) to all Messies, posters & lurkers.
    Drags self upstairs with timer...
