Morning messies!
OK soworried, I feel utterly ashamed because I deserve a kick much more than you, but if you insist... *kick*
I put the olympics on the telly upstairs as I was "working", so that helped a bit. I am truly the world champion procrastinator and I even had to laugh at myself getting nothing done while pushing things around the room.
Then about tea time I decided that I was doing the wrong room (this often happens, I think it's a subconscious avoidance thing) and got distracted by stuff in another room. After much room tetris, I gave up, had my tea and slobbed out for the rest of the evening
Outdated textbooks are my biggest problem - I have dozens and dozens of them from various OU, graduate and post grad escapades. Most of them are "as new" but especially the OU earth science ones are so out of date (25 years, can you believe) that they are not suitable for study any more.
I just don't know if I can bring myself to part with them, but they are serious clutter and I never really look at them - it's more the idea of sentimentality than the real thing, I think. I really don't want to heave them up to the loft, as that would be it until I fall off my twig (it's very unlikely I will move from this house), when they will just be someone else's problem.
What to do, what to do. Anyhoo, off the the shops now and to deliver a parcel that was left at the wrong address by accident.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

JPS, could you try selling them online? Someone might be interested in your books!
Up early this morning to try and get some housework done. DOH is away to a gaelic match today and won't be home till late, probably a bit worse for wear from beer!
.. I'm planning on staying at a friends house to keep her company so :
- Make bed and leave hangover food directly beside bed
- Clean dining room
- Pack bags for tonight
- Hoover out the car
- Clean doggie beds
- Leave dinner ready for tomorrow
Don't know if I'll get all done but it would be nice to know when I come back home on tuesday it may still resemble a house!094 Sealed pot member! (7) €185 (8) €138 (9) €€250

Morning Ladies,
Well yesterday was a bust, apart from washing being done although one load was left in the tumble dryer so that will need ironing.
As for leaving the house - didn't happen, tidying, didn't happen. pets cleaned didn't happen. I was quite ill in the afternoon upset tummy but I do wonder if that isn't the stress of arguing with Mum and then my sister visiting and the being in a such a mess generally!
I have put a list on my diary but am here to report for some serious de messying. If I don't get my !!!! together in the next 4 weeks I will make my life so much harder for the next school year.
so yeah........just finishing my tea!Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

I put the ISBNs in to a few sites, but most of them are not accepted due to age of publication, or worth so little it's not worth the hassle posting them.tatabubbly wrote: »- leave hangover food directly beside bed

Motivate me please! Today is my birthday and people will start arrivingg for my party at 2 pm. Living room needs a tidy, but the kids can do that. Kitchen needs a thorough clean, bathroom refreshed, food prepared. I am still in bed, in a morose, semi-paralysed mood, feeling depressed for no reason. Please shout at me until I get up and get into a cleaning and then partying mood! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! (was that a loud enough shout?
)
Sorry you're feeling down, there doesn't need to be a reason and I honestly think days when you are "expected" to be cheerful can be the worst! Would blasting out some music/singing/dancing while you tidy help? Might as well start the party early!
What's the most important thing that needs doing? How about you do that - then reward yourself with a coffee/early birthday drink;) and report back here, then move onto the next most important thing?
hope you perk up a wee bit and end up having a good time, I'm sure you will

I'm starting to pull myself out my slump, slowly but it's a start. Done a load of dishes, and cleared some of the carp off my bed. Got new duvet cover set coming sometime so that's an incentive
