Thanks for the advice, dragonette. Unfortunately, my cat is regularly treated with the extra-ingredient Frontline from the vet already. Sigh. She (the vet) has never mentioned injections, though, so that's definitely on my list of questions.

The most reliable treatment is definitely my Medivap (a high pressure steamer designed to kill dust mites in the homes of severe asthmatics-I bought it in desperation in the days before Frontline). But it's labour intensive, and you can get re-infested instantly after. :(

Thanks jps-not insensitive at all :)

I'm using my TD for anything I can, but that just isn't very much. Sheets, towels, socks, fine...but most of our clothes won't tumble.I'm sure a dri-buddy would be great, but I'd be afraid I'd struggle to find anywhere to store it. Sounds like the perfect solution to those late night washloads that I end up ironing dry in the morning, though ;)

Actually, I'm giving myself a bit of a break by washing the things I'd planned to leave until last. The top came off our sunscreen in my day pack, so that's having a solo wash and looks like it will need a second (waterproof sunscreen is a !!!!!! to shift). That's a good few hours with no heavy wet washing to heave around :D

The injection would at least help with the re-infestations, I absolutely hate fleas. My mum is a vet so I know the injections exist (we use it for the cats, im sure its licensed for cats not dogs so im hoping its not the other way round. It is def safe for both!).

    Hi all

Well our Saturday started really well. OH, myself and DS1 took the dog for a short walk which turned into an epic adventure across the fields and we ended up doing 4.5 miles! The sun was out and it was lovely. Came back and had a full english breakfast even though it was nearly lunchtime.

That's called 'Brunch' down here in that there London :rotfl:

:T Jps! I think a big clear-up always goes through a worse stage before it gets better. It stands to reason, really, as you have to spread stuff out to see exactly what you have. sounds as if your Dri-buddy is perfect for you. We don't have a TD, nor will ever have, but there's only the two of us, both retired, and we don't get through a lot of clothes.

Have put away this morning's washing up, and cleaned the hob and work surfaces. Also put away yesterday's washing.

Managed to get dressed not long after posting (thanks for the kick bearcub, but it didn't take me that long!) and put a load of washing in. Faffed about for a bit thinking I should do something productive but then thought "bggr it" and settled down in front of the TV for a bit! Might have been because I was a bit off-colour last night or might be because the house wasn't in too bad a state after the marathon clean up of last weekend but OH didn't pass any comment at all and let me have a lazy day. Got all the washing done and most of it dried outside. We've had "sunshine&showers" all day so its been in and out more often than the hokey cokey but its all nearly dry. Last couple of bits are laid out in the bedroom to finish off.

Ended up starting on the paving slabs at about half 3 and carried on until half 7, by which time we were both completely done in. I was largely just manning the jet wash so have no idea why I'm so worn out - OH did all the heavy lifting. We're nowhere near finished yet so have to do some more tomorrow. After we've fitted a new window in the new lounge.

Glad I had a bit of a lazy day today - not sure when I get another!

Well done sonastin and OH. Maybe you didn't have to do much shifting, but watching and supporting can be awfully tiring, I find. ;)

I think, just at the moment, we have every right to sit and watch tv. I'm not a great tv watcher, but I think I've watched more tv in the 10 days than I have in the previous 4 months!

Plan to do some more to the dinning room tomorrow (out for a large part of tomorrow as son is in a theatre production) and finish it off on Sunday.

Well I didn't do anything to the dinning room today as sister and her 2 came back to ours and we cooked a delicious HM lasagna, which was well received and completely unplanned. In addition to that and spend the majority of the day out with family I managed to:
    DW x2
WM x1 (drying on airer as I didn't trust it not to rain whilst we were out)
made 2 phone calls I've been putting off
sent an email I've also been putting off
    made porridge for tomorrow

Tomorrow I want to do some more to the dinning room and cut the grass if its dry.

I have been up for over an hour and not moved yet. I think I need a kick!

Finally moved, 1st hour, moved last nights mugs in to the kitchen. We really need to get in to a habit of putting these away before we go to bed.
