I can't sleep so I can not see me having much energy today.

A lazy garden day maybe if the weather is good. Try to get the energy to pull up a few weeds.

Hi all (gives a weary wave)

    Great holiday, absolutely shattered.

Returned at 4am yesterday to find all our bedrooms hopping with cat fleas :( My fault...I suspected a brewing problem and I stupidly shut the doors to keep the cat out...so the vile little blighters were starving. So, yesterday, with about an hour's sleep, we spent the day washing, spraying, steaming...everything. Just what you want when you get home, eh? It isn't too bad downstairs, where I sprayed the carpets on our way out. It's not as if the cat isn't regularly treated, either...

Anybody want a tubby, middle aged cat with an overweening sense of entitlement? Buy one pet, get 1,000,000 free? ;)

Aw...poor girl...she's just realised I'm awake, and she's clearly frightened of my carpet :(

Actually, so am I...despite all the spraying yesterday, I think this is going to be flea elimination by attrition under the old (pre-Frontline) rules. They haven't evolved resistance to twice-daily 300 degree steam. Yet :(

Laurel hope you get it sorted soon hun. Did you have a nice holiday at least? x

Soworried & sonastin I use to love my MIL before she turned into a horrible woman overnight (funnily enough just after we announced our engagement) Some of things she has said & done to me have been just horrible I don't think you'd believe me if I said. She hits OH up for money all the time with no intention to pay it back (£900 since March :mad: )

Bearcub it is a nightmear! I hate it and it doesn't help that the two main mangers are selfish. They just have no respect for anyone. Treat the stuff like rubbish & know that because we need the money we have to take it :(

Yorkshirelass that's what I'm hoping that we will just cope but it just means that I'm going to have to hurry up & pass my driving test otherwise I'm not going to be able to do anything.

Soworried I was the same before I got sick my friend Lynn was always suffering and I couldn't see why she couldn't just pull herself out of it. Hmmm yep soon learnt that lesson didn't I.

    Hey Messers!

Well I've been off a few days as it was my birthday :D I had a great time and my boyfriend is buying me a kindle as soon as he gets the money together! No more cluttering my house up with books! LOL

I've restarted slimming world today and have to book some driving lessons later!

House is staying nice and clean, I'm popping out a load of laundry outside to dry and hoping the rain stays away!
Might tackle some more of upstairs today.. Decisions, decisions!

    Afternoon Messies.

Glad you had a good holiday, Laurel, but how awful about the fleas. That once happened to us, too, but most of the fleas seemed to be in the dining room, which was south facing, so was the warmest room. Steamed fleas, huh? Interesting! ;)

Faith, DD2 has worked for some horrible pub managers, too, but was a manager for a while, until she found out that the owner was messing with the spirits - the alcoholic kind, and was taking on workers without work visas. She left, and reported him to the appropriate authorities. She's always said that, after her experiences, she would always treat her staff fairly.

Tatabubbly, belated happy birthday, glad you had a good time. Don't know about the Kindle thing - my D has one, but still likes her proper books, too.

Sorry to hear you're feeling so washed out today, soworried. Hopefully, some garden therapy will help. <hugs>

Pretty good day here, with mostly sun, and the occasional very dark cloud coming over. From the tv, looks like the sailing in Dorest is enjoying similar weather. Have done one WM load, now drying in the garden. Have put away last night's washing-up. That's about it for today, as I have to go and see someone shortly, then I'm out tonight.

I feel well today bearcub, I just couldn't sleep because it was so hot. A day lazing in the garden and an early night will do me good. :)

    Enjoy your night out.x
