oh flaming nora! I mistyped the number of stairs up to my flat, men have just been to the door and said they can't deliver it as it's apparently over 40 stairs, tbh I knew I'd typed 28 when I meant to type 38 but that would have been wrong anyway. All my own fault, I should have gone out and checked.

Luckily my friend arrived at that moment with money he owed me so I burst into tears on his shoulder!:o

Alec thanks I was thinking the multi bag box thing too as i have make up, clothes ect so will be easier to sort through.

The stuff will go in the wardrobe so I think it will be best to get everything in then go from there at least if I don't get the decluttering done at least it will be tidy.

Put you up is in place already as not taken it down from when my mum stayed. I'm so lazy :( think i will have the cats after me though as it is their spot atm so might have to give them lots of treats to say sorry lol

Thanks soworried :) I think I'm going to need all the luck I can get

Oh Cat you poor thing! Thank God your friend was there

The multi bag/box thing is great imo because you're only dealing with things once. When things are piled up to deal with later you have to go through the decision making process all over again. But if something is in a box to go somewhere else when the timer goes off it's just a matter of wandering around the house putting things in the right place rather than digging through the piles and potentially making a mess again.

Soworried totally agree sometimes having a good cry is just the ticket

Cat well done on not crying in front of the kids that is a great principal to have! My friend cries in front of her's all the time & I hate it as it is really awkward. I know though sometimes it can't be helped

thanks faith and soworried, yes I feel really awkward crying in front of anyone really! Still waiting for a response, just had mum on the phone so this has broken the ice with her lol, she says my brother can probably come down and help but I've a feeling he might not get here on time if they DO phone back.

Although if the response isn't good that'll probably start the waterworks again..:o

If they don't ring back, give us the number and we will shout at them with you. :D

It is good that it has broken the ice between you and your mum again. :T
