The poem is in my signature bearcub.

:o So it is! Very wise words - shame I didn't see it, and there's nothing wrong with my eyesight. :o

Cat, hope all is ok with you. <hugs>

Oo, snookey, I just love chicken chasseur, it's one of my faves. Any spare? ;)

YL, how very disappointing for all of you, but it will happen. Kids, great, aren't they?

Isis black, I'm so pleased you had a good holiday, despite the anxiety. Wales is beautiful, isn't it? How did the journey go?

So, everyone's had sun today, have they? Despite this usually being one of the sunniest areas in the UK, we've had a rather indifferent day. Warm, but the sun only made an occasional appearance if we asked it very nicely. At least it was dry and the washing dried.

thank you soworried and bearcub. I'm really really sorry I'm not replying to people and stuff, just finding it hard to take anything in, my concentration seems shot to pieces today!:o

We've had no sun today and it's been a bit on the chilly side - shhh keep this quiet but I've got the heating on low - NOT :money:!!:o

No need for apologies, Cat. Just take things slowly, huh? It'll come together again.

Oh bear cub the journey there was scary!!! Thank god for satnav lol

But as soon as we hit the welsh border the scenery immediately changed!! Amazing hills and valleys but scary thin roads lol especially for a big hulking ford galaxy lol

Though my CFS seemed to raise its ugly head while there but with 3 days non stop I'm not surprised!!

The journey home was rather scary as we had to turn round after coming upon a massive pile up just outside Welshpool (hope everyone was ok ) so that really threw me but hubby was there scouring maps on my iPhone while I was shouting at satnav that was trying to turn me back lol

Right finally bed time for me before facing the mess tomorrow :-s
I love War Of The Worlds:heart2:

    Morning messies

I have just woken up :o That is the longest I have slept in years. I am aching from head to toe after all the gardening yesterday.
My daughter has just made me a coffee so I am going to have that before I get started. I can't see me doing much today.

I hope everyone is well. Cat when I first came here you told me off for saying sorry remember :p
Don't put any added pressure on yourself, you just cleaned your carpet remember x :j

1st hour, Dry washing brought in off the line and folded. Recycling done. Our recycling bin is in the garden and our neighbour is elderly and goes to sleep early and wakes very early so we don't like to put any recycling out after 8pm in case we disturb him.

2nd hour, home made coleslaw made for lunch to go with jacket potato. Half the dishes done, worktops wiped.

3rd hour, 2nd half of the dishes done.

4th hour, Bed made, curtains opened and hob cleaned.

    :D yes soworried I remember that, sor....oops! :D

Don't see much happening today - spent an uncomfortable night on the settee after DS told me there was a HUUUUUGE crane fly in the kitchen. Apart from one mad dash to the bathroom swathed in towels in case it touched me, I've been too scared to leave this room :( I'm dying for a coffee and pretty starving too but the kitchen is a step too far...I know it's silly but those things terrify me!!! :/

You have hay in the house, too, do you, Alec? Caged pets of some kind?

Yes, I have two house rabbits, they have an 8ft x 4ft pen in the living area but are out and about most of the time so they like to leave a trail of destruction wherever they go!

Well done to everyone who is getting something done, hope everyone has a bit of time to relax and not thing about things too though.

We had a lovely day off yesterday, went for a walk along the prom, visited a pop up gallery in the town centre and saw lots of golf-related stuff. Then came home for a cuppa and watched the golf and the cycling. Today we were up nice and early to get cracking with the decorating. DH is sugarsoaping the ceiling and I am painting the living area walls. It's taking an age but it's all moving on.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Do you not have anyone who can get rid of it for you?

One of our neighbours comes and gets one of us when she has a spider in her home.

    Afternoon Messies.

Cat, our DD1 hates crane flies, too. She used to have a fear of spiders as well, but has managed to overcome that since having a home of her own. Crane flies still send her into a panic, though. She found a gadget that is battery operated and sucks them into a tube, without harming them, then they can be thrown outside. I'll see if I can find one on a website somewhere, and PM you if I do.

Soworried, your long sleep probably indicates that your relaxing a bit more.

Well done on the driving, Isis black. I remember that you were worried about it.

Alec, we have horses and guinea pigs - only the latter at home, of course, but we do tend to walk in wood shavings and straw, no matter how careful we try to be. Add a permanently moulting cat (she is old, and no longer grooms herself as much as she did), and the carpet always has bits on it! :(

Beeeooootiful day here today - no mist or black clouds coming in from the sea, for a change. Been at church, and I rarely do washing on a Sunday (not religious reasons, just that I like a day off!), but I have done a WM load today, and it's hung on the drier. Taken a loaf out of the BM, that OH put on earlier. Put piggies out in their run, and they're busy mowing the grass for us. :)

Yes, both buns are moulting at the minute so there's fluff everywhere - my dustbunnies are made of real bunny! We took the carpet up as it was ridiculous between the chewing and the fluff. Eventually we'll get some kind of wooden flooring but that's quite a way off. I'm getting used to the concrete anyway!

Having a break from painting now, but will be back to it after a beer or two. I broke my rule and did a load of laundry today too, it's so nice it seemed crazy to not get on with it.
