Term over.
Five boxes of chocolates (as if I'm not fat enough!)
Gave one to the classroom cleaner, the big one to DD and friends (currently occupying living room), one to DS...and I've eaten about a third of a box of chocolate seashells and I'm starting to feel sick.
Step away from the chocolates, Laurel...step away...
My end-of-term-treat relaxing trashy book is, alas, *too* trashy (or at least, badly written and slow) to be relaxing, so I've tidied the living room ( had to when DD called to say her friends were coming :rotfl:), and, with DS's help, given the kitchen a good shove in the right direction. And picked up and tidied at least a dozen extra things and cleared a couple of square metres of bedroom floor space. Not that you can really tell where I've been if you hadn't seen it before, but it all counts...
Yes, Cat...I threw a strop when Air Miles were being devalued last year and blew ten years' worth. With 7700 miles between 3 people, I had a choice between Tunis...or Tripoli
Oddly, we're off to Tunisia on Sunday

Lots of cleaning done today. Washed all floors, carpets washed, kitchen cleaned. Hopefully Ill keep up the pace this weekend.
I now have a bag full of dd shoes that she has out grown. The hall is now cleared of shoes and the dust that gathered in between them.
Had a Indian take out for tea which was lovely.
Jobs to do over the weekend;
All laundry,
Bleach the bathroom,
mop upstairs floors,
a declutter,
Think thats enough for now.0 -
Bins emptied

I am now going to have some dinner and then chill for the evening0 -
Hi everyone
Sorry not been on lately been feeling rubbish
Today I very slowly hung the washing out
Put towels in WM
Cleaned half the en suite then had to stop
OH came home from work and has done the rest of the en suite, including fitting the new loo seat
Changed the sheets on the spare bed
Cleared out some rubbish
Tidied the bedroom
Cooked a lovely tea of sausage and bacon etc
Could not have done it without him and he didn't mind me bossing him around either.
Got a few bits for him to do tomorrow like cleaning the bathroom and hoovering upstairs
Hope everyone is ok0 -
The inside of my microwave has gone beyond the point of attack-able. There is a crack on the outside of the door which I'm trying to persuade OH means that we have to replace it. He is adamant that its just the plastic and the microwave is safe. I can't admit to him that the main reason I want to replace the microwave is because I can't bear the thought of cleaning it:rotfl:
I have 2 options of what I should be doing now - downloading photos for OH from my camera OR packing to go away camping tomorrow. And instead I'm posting on here. Oh well, we don't need to set off early tomorrow and while I'm on the computer it looks to OH like I'm renaming his photos so that'll do for a while

Morning, summer is here today :j
Have a lovely time sonastin x

£5522
One step must start each journey
One word must start each prayer
One hope will raise our spirits
One touch can show you care0 -
Summer here also
First hour - yet another call from DS - his room had been left open by the hotel maintenance team all night, fortunately nothing missing. He has now quit G4S but can't say I blame him :rotfl:
He was woken again yesterday to move rooms, said you're kidding, which room now?
Room * in a hotel in Croydon, woken between shifts in a room in Dorking. So sir please move rooms, 30 miles down the road, he said NO:rotfl:
Second hour - washing on line and next load in
Report back later0 -
Knocked up a spag bol and lasagne in the last hour
Now for breakfast and a cuppa0 -
Morning all - quite summery-looking here too, and no rain forecast this weekend. That means beans & herbs will need watering/eeding at some stage...I am still staying on `light duties` as far as housework goes (which isn`t very far at the best of times!) so I will probably enlist help from DGD for that.
DS has washed some dishes (they did come out of his room!!) and suddenly our shortage of forks is solved... and I did manage to do a fair bit of tidying up in my bedroom yesterday. Last night`s meal was a no-cook affair, salad with baby plum toms from farmshop, and cheese & ham, with some hummus and olive tapenade on rusky things. DGD had some leftovers for breakfast.
I also did a piece of briskest yesterday (in slow cooker) so it will be sliceable for today.
I`m thinking of sitting outside doing some sewing/mending jobs if it stays nice, and DGD said she`ll help feed & empty WM again. Bless`er!
Gillybean - sorry you`re feeling carp, but well done your OH!
Gilly - I`m not surprised your DS has quit! That firm don`t seem able to organise celebrations in a brewery, let alone security for a national event!
SoWorried - I`ve only just noticed your signature poem - it`s lovely!!
Sonastin - A CRACK on microwave door? I would insist on replacing it. I hope the weather holds up for your camping trip.
Laurel - enjoy your hols, you have earned your breakxx
Snooks & Bearcub - you both did well yesterday by the sounds of it, it`s always a dilemma when weather is fit for outdoor stuff and there`s indoor stuff needs doing though.
Have a nice day all Messies out there. Have a little read of SoWorried`s poem, if like me you`d missed it - or have another read if you`d spotted it already!0 -
Have now hoovered through downstiars, not able to do the stairs at the moment, but am sure OH will do that when he comes in from golf.
Now going to do some
Sewing - 3 pairs of trousers that need turning up, all bought in sales but usual leg length was not available so decided to go for it and then turn them up.
or wedding planning, designing the invites
The trousers have been in the wardrobe for over 2 years , so suppose they can wait a little longer :rotfl:0
