Try putting a bit of washing up liquid on each stain and washing again as normal in with the next wash.

Evening all....thank you for all the advice re the kids, its much apreciated! I did pick everything up and put it in a bag this morning and just dumped them in the room. Ive told them if they are not put away properly by then end of the weekend then they will be going in the skip in nana's garden! I know me been messy is a big part of it as it rubs off on them, and also the youngest wouldnt be able to get things if i didnt leave them out. Its something im working on tho lol. Ive also sat down with the older two and worked out a chore list, ive asked them what they will be happy doing and they each have just 1 job a day to do after school...we shall see how it works out!

Im having a bad day today health wise which hasnt helped, my arthritis in my knees has really been playing up and ive been in so much pain. Its not so bad when just walking, but when i bend my knee, so going upstairs is fine, but coming down again i had to come down on my bum lol. the kids thought it was really funny lol. I also really struggled to sit down in the car....but hey ho its almost bedtime lol

I did manage to get pick all the kids things up and clear kitchen sides again tho. I also decluttered my little ones nappy drawers (i have a set of 3 plastic draw thingys) that have become home to everything except nappies!!

As for my username on here i knew people would struggle lol...Taliah Mai is actually my 1 year olds name, and no one can pronounce it properly and never spell it lol....My name is Lindsay, it may be easier if i start signing my posts with my name instead lol

Hope your kids rise to the challenge Taliahmai (Lindsay). Somebody said something about teaching their boy to be a good husband (or something like that), I always said that I didn't want another woman saying 'I blame his mother' about my son not cleaning/tidying etc. However, because of my poor health, I have really let things slide and they have had a bad example to follow and I never made them do any cleaning, tidying etc. So now they are grown up and complete messies too. One day some woman is going to be cursing me. I wish I had been tougher and made the effort to train my kids up when they were young. It would have been easier all round in the long run.
All that, to say, keep it up and persevere with your kids. Esther

Managed to keep the kitchen table clear to-day....and eat my meals at it, as too often it is front of tv mealtime, so pleased with that. Nothing else done really as I spent quite a bit of time out of the house.

Love the idea of a velcro wall Hart 44....would also advise a shelf all round every room about a foot from the ceiling, to store all the things that we need to keep away from littlies!

Hi all. Iv had a talk to myself about being lazy and have done some housework. Iv sorted the piles of clean washing, put on a couple of loads of washing, mopped the floors, put the dishes in the dishwasher after unloading it and had a tidy of dd room.
I dont want to get up in the morning and find Iv got last nights dishes to do or the floor so Im aiming to keep to a shedule of cleaning.
Sorry to hear about you being in pain Lyndsay my oh has an athritic condition and fibro and Iv seen how much pain he suffers from. Good on you though for getting on with things.
Sat I pledge to shower the dog, brush the cats, put washing away and keep my kitchen clean and tidy.

I've just been watching Hoarders and it's got me motivated to get moving tomorrow! Compared to some of those houses, mine is practically perfect (I lied, it's not :o )

Oh Jackieb I love that series makes me feel so perfect, lol. I love looking into other peoples homes and seeing how they live . In saying that Im not one to pry into peoples affairs , I leave that to oh and ask him, lol.
Motivation is what I need to keep me going otherwise they will find me in years to come as a skelton under all the rubbish Iv collected, lol.
Put your music on and dance round the room whilst cleaning thats what Im going to do.
