EstherH - is the stain on your jumper in a place where you could perhaps hide it with a crochet flower or something like that? It would be such a shame to have to dump it if it's a favourite of yours.

Hi All I'm new to this one too but love it!! When I got married to Hubby ( 10 years ago yesterday!) he was the most undomesticated operson I know when his mam was alive she done everything for them

I had to domesticate him and fast!! He now cleans the toilet ( to a certain degree not to my standard!) and the bath when he's finished but the big question is why do they get undressed next tothe washing basket and leave there dirty clothes on the florr next to it!!

I work 715am-3pm and pick up my son from the childminder at 330ish so once teas is out of the way I run about like the tasmanian devil doing bits each night time on a weekedn is precious so I like to spend it my son (18 month old!) so I try to get all my jobs done before a weekedn gets here
Don't get me wrong my house is lived in, toys in the living room and garden but I do try and keep stuff tidy, we have the messy drawer like everyone else and cupboards that are full of junk!!

I work for a cleaning company so the last thing I wanna do is spend hours cleaning but I try to do little and often!!

Im all for inventing a velcro wall and suit for kiddies so you can stick them to it in sight of you and clean without them getting everything out before you finish then you can get done quick with lots of time to play with them after :rotfl:

Hi everyone - I've not been in the house much but When I have been there I've been quite good.

Wednesday night was funny, I made dinner, all packaging from the turkey and rice etc went in the bin before the dinners were eaten. within a few minutes after eating, the plates and any pans etc were in the dishwasher and I turned it on right away. I was so proud of myself! It made a difference.

The clean dishes are still in there but that's only because we went out after dinner on Wednesday and I was out with family yesterday so haven't been around to do it. It will be emptied before I start making dinner tonight I hope.

Im so sorry to hear about your brother too, my brother was killed almost 4 years ago, so believe me i know how your feeling there, i still sit and talk to him at night when the kids are in bed, and i just know he is still here with me as i often 'feel' him :) x

Thanks Taliahmai. I wish i still felt my brother around now, but i only noticed him around in the first few months and that's because there was some very strange goings on but i certainly feel he is looking out for me, bless him, we were very close and he would phone me almost every single day and i would go up and visit him and his late wife in the summer with my DS and DD.

I have only manage to have a quick flick through the posts and not managed a good read of them :o.

I am still in the middle of doing the kitchen and can really see a difference now :T, i am doing the timer for 15 mins then taking a break and a drink, then going back to 15 mins again. I will get my DD to either clean the fridge or the cupboard under the sink when she gets home from placement (she thinks i should give her £20 PW driving lesson money for nothing so she tries it on just a little ...... I don't think so:D:rotfl:).

Oh, I had to turn the meter reading bloke away today as the garage is just to choc-a-block with various stuff so there's no way he could have got in their without a fight or breaking his neck and there was no way i was going to let him in to the garage through the kitchen as that would mean he would see the state of the living room AND kitchen & that just wouldn't do .

Although i have only flicked throgh the posts i can see you are all doing great, Keep it up :T:j.

I love the cba because thats the way I feel today. House is quiet tidy so not as if we will break our necks falling over stuff.
Animals and kids will still need feeding but it will have to be as easy and quick as possible as I cab, lol.

No, I managed to get a few things down me, and squirted the star drops liberally over the marks. No way I can hide them. Thanks though for your suggestion.

Have got two loads of washing on the line. Cleaned bathroom and got rid of some more paperwork.

The plan is that when I have cleared this folder of all the paperwork except what needs to be kept, I will put in thepaper work that has been on the shelf that I need to keep. I have been whittling that pile down bit by bit.

No energy left though now but what I've done is more than I thought I would be up to when I woke up. Sat out in the sun now with my feet up.
