My home is a mess
Comments

I have been doing some ironing today, and made some HM bread and soup. But I'm feeling rather down actually
Why is it that people always take advantage of you when you try to be nice? I need to learn when to say that enough is enough
Thing is, I can be a real push over in my private life

I swear my kids are here to just to upset me this week....mind you im so emotional at the min it really doesnt take much! Ive been out running errands, voting and visiting family all day so ive only been home 20mins. I went inot the kitchen to make the kids a sandwich before i start dinner and my 1 year old has pulled the dining room chair over to the window, climbed up and pulled a copper jar i had on the windowsill over, so i now have about £30 worth of 2 and 1p coins all over
.....i went to go make a start picking them up and she went into the kitchen and emptied a full box (only opened this morning) of cornflakes all over my floor.
So i lost my temper, put her up in her room to play and sent the other two out while i calm down and stop crying! Then i came downstairs to find a trail of school clothes dumped over the floor from where the kids have got changed, the cupboards open in the kitchen the pop left open on the side, the freezer door wide open and my ironing pile knocked over so all over the floor! Is there any wonder my hoiuse is always a mess when i have kids like this.....i just wanna run away and hope someone will come take pity and do it all for me, then swap my kids for ones thast have a bit of respect for the house and me
Oh Taliahmai I so feel for you. Send them to bed with just bread and water..... done that to mine in the past. Little ones don't mean to be bad but don't/can't think beyond the here and now. Can you show them how sad their actions make you and help to clear up, not the 1 yo but 2 in school are old enough, they wouldn't behave like that in the classroom I bet? Hope you feel better soon.
I've done absolutely sweet fa today. Well not been in too long, was going to visit sick friend but her husband just called to say she's been taken in to hosp. Tomorrow is another day.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Awwh, Taliamai, you poor thing. Don't blame you for crying.
Was going to reply to a few of you but now that I have caught up, I can't remember who and what.
I haven't done much today. And I have a problem; I spilt a few things down a favourite jumper yesterday. I squirted some star drops on neat in the hope of getting the stains out and the stardrops has stained the jumper. Help! Any ideas what I can do. Have soaked it ready to put back in the wash but the marks haven't come out.Second purse £101/100

Oh, I have made home made soup, been shopping and done the washing. Brought it in too before it started to rain and it was dry. Have thrown a few more papers out but not many but did take two carrier bags full of carrier bags back to supermarket to recycle and my own bags so as not to add to the considerable stack that I still have here.Second purse £101/100

Hi all, we all seem to be a bit down and de-motivated today. After doing so well I think we should be kind to ourselves, tomorrow is another day. I did a wash and put it out before work but it rained on it!!My youngest is off school today due to the elections and she met me after work and de-cluttered my purse in Primark! Came home and had to take the eldest out somewhere so am only in. I'm shattered so am going to give myself the night off and start afresh tomorrow. If only I could get a good run at things but I never do as family keep imposing so I know where you're coming from Ellie830

May I join in too please? Have been following the fantastic flyladies however I need some kind of domestic miracle to occur before I can even start on those lists. I can hardly move in here :-(
I have never ever been able to stay on top of things domestically and this is just made worse by my decline in health. I realise I have to go with my energy flows but others manage it so why can't I? It has got to the stage that I can no longer have visitors and regularly reduces me to tears.
A very sad fizz0 -

I think the thing that gets me the most is i know for a fact there not like it when they go to their dads, his house is spotless!....now dont get me wrong i dont want a spotless house, there kids and they deserve to be able to play and have toys out etc. Its the rubbish/empty food wrappers dropped all over the floor, drinks/food been spilt and not cleaned up, clothes just dumped all over the floor downstairs and things like that.....the other day they got some pringles out and decided to throw them at each other...the whole box ended up been stood on and chucked all over the floor. |Then just going out and leaving it. They wouldnt of dared doing that at their dads house! Today i snapped, ive told them im writing a chore list for them to earn there poket money, and everytime they dont do something or leave a mess without clearing up after them then they get money deducted.....i just have to be strong and stick to it lol.
On the plus side ive managed to get everything picked back up, kitchen sides cleaned down, washed up, and even got a sofa decluttered:) you can never sit on one of my sofas for clutter lol...well now you can!! yeyy go me lol

Welcome Fizzbitz,
A few of us on here have health problems so we know how you feel. It's hard when you can see what needs doing and can't physically do it. Hard too when it has got past that and you don't know where to start. We have a mantra: baby steps, they really do work. Just try one thing at a time.
Taliamai, well done on what you have achieved today.Second purse £101/100

Hey Messys new and old - I am drowing in mess - it is almost like I have been burgled!
Dishes need doing, clothing needs to be put away, washings need to be done, hoovering needs doing and the state OH has left the loo in needs to be seen to be believed!! I could cry - in fact I had a wee blub earlier - being pre mental helps (Im always mental btw!) but I ache from top to toe and I am soooo cold. Think I am coming down down with something.
OH is off to the football on sautrday so I am trying to give myself a few days to regroup the energy and Ill start with commercial break cleaning again.
