My home is a mess

Yay for you Grey Queen! It's so much nicer coming down to the kitchen in the morning when there isn't a load of dirty washing up sitting there waiting for you.
I got my dishes done last night, but I didn't the night before. We'd had spag bol, so there were all the pans from that (and I hadn't put them in to soak either!) plus DS2 had made himself bacon sarnies later, so there was the frying pan too along with all the plates and glasses. Took me ages yesterday to get through that lot.
I've sorted the curtain hooks in the hall and noticed that the window needed cleaning, so I did that whilst the curtains were down.0 -
Morning!
Excellent baby steps everyone! You are encouraging me to get on with projects I keep holding back on (like altering a dress, finishing up the redo on a storage box). But yesterday I did get around to buying one of those really good vacuum bags inside a proper holder bag. Means the laundry/clothes cupboard is much easier to use!
In a way, I'm glad for the cloud today! It means the windows will get a clean at last (without the vinegar evaporating too quickly)! Bring on the sun when I'm finished though!:A Thanks to all the lovely people who contribute their advice! :A0 -
Good Afternoon everyone,
I hope you don;t mind me joining your thread. You see my house is a mess. And i have just givin myself a big kick up the bum to get it sorted.....been and joined Flylady and got a "Kitchen Sink that Shines" its strange cos it makes the kitchen look tidy, or is that cos i am tidying it....lol lol

grrr im so mad with myself, ive judged my finances all wrong this week, ive just checked my bank and have only got £15 to last me till tuesday, and ive yet to put my gas and electric in and buy nappies
I changed my dd date for my sky to come out on the 15th of the month instead of the begining....but it hasnt changed even tho i did it 2 months ago
I also cancelled the sports package and they havnt taken that off either grrrrr. Gonna have to dip into my savings account i think!!
Sorry its not messy related as such im just so mad with myself as im usually real good and always have money left over at the end of the week
I think you need to call Sky!! They conveniently "forget" that you want to reduce your DD. :mad:Did get the recyclings off the premises and rubbish collection has continued to be random with none this week thus far, good job I'm a fairly light consumer and all the rotables go to the allotment or it might be getting a bit whiffy.:)
Have a good day y'all and don't overdo it or you'll leave me behind.
OK, let's talk plainly here GreyQueen.... Did you or did you not send your bin men around my place this morning? Because I have been promised a new recycling box and, unless it is made out of a new type of invisible plastic, it hasn't been delivered :rotfl:0 -
Afternoon everyone, I've slowed right down cleaning wise and it's not good! It's raining here too so I can't even hang stuff out on the line, boo
I did start doing a bit of dusting and washing down doors last night but stopped after 10 minutes as it was SO BORING. I need to stay motivated but it's just not happening.Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

Because I have been promised a new recycling box and, unless it is made out of a new type of invisible plastic, it hasn't been delivered :rotfl:Hun, I am so sorry that you're afflicted by the same bin men as me. We were supposed to be Tues + 1 for Bank Hol but when I left for w*rk this morming they still hadn't been so it's your guess as good as mine as to when they'll visit. It takes me about 4 weeks to fill a black sack so I'm fairly laconic but am expecting a Freecyler to pick up a little something from the bin cupboard so I'd rather the bin men had been, but there you go.
Count yourself lucky; we got recycling containers and less than a month later they wanted them back again as they said it was all a big mistake.........:rotfl:And I had to put the recycling calender into the on-street recycling bin. Who said irony is dead?!
EDIT; just came home and saw a fresh black sack. They haven't taken the old back sack which has a few grammes of plastic trash it it, which shows them using good sense as it would've been a waste of a bag.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
