Feeling better Iv now done the dishes, put the rubbish out, wiped kitchen surfaces and put a wash on.
Lainz I think you have enough shirts, lol. It reminded me of all the things I duplicate because I can not see what Iv already got. I found lots of duplicated under the kitchen sink when I cleared it out.
Tip for the day. If you want shirt buttons to remain longer ,paint clear nail varnish over them.0 -
.... sidles in polishing halo .... :A
Well whilst getting the box of toiletries off the top of the wardrobe I sorted through it and listed all that I have in there (particularly as my friend bought me half of boots for my birthday of my favourite ones!) I then dusted the top of the wardrobe before I put the box back and sorted the top of another cupboard.
Tomorrow I will go through the cupboard and sort out the makeup and other beauty products I have in there and use up or throw out. Theres a plan
Time for a lie down now :rotfl:0 -

Morning all,
Well, Yesterday I decided that once and for all, My dump was to become a home again! :A
I have to say so far I’m rather pleased with the result! J
I started at 10am yesterday morning & was still going 12 hours later :O
But the kitchen, Front room & all washing is done!
I also managed to tidy up all the plant pots & hanging baskets, Vacuuming the front room took 3 attempts (Maybe another going over today!)
I also bit the bullet and decided to write our new monthly shopping list & do a SOA < Is that what its called?
I must admit although I know we was starting to get into debt just like the cleaning I tend to ignore it in sheer hope that it would go away!:mad::o
Today, I can tell you - My body hates me! My mind is ready to go again today in hope that the up stairs can also be as neat…However I think a few more strong cuppa’s are needed before hand!
My plan for today is de-clutter anything & everything!
Thanks for the support peeps, Hope you all have a great day! xxFuture goals:
Become debt free.
Beat Depression.
Be happy & healthy0 -
Good morning messies x
Well i have woken up feeling full of cold this morning and have no energy at all, so im sat snugged on the sofa with my 2 girls watching fireman sam lol. I'm going to move in a min though and take an inventry of my cupboards and freezer....i have so much food in them its unreal ad instead of using it up im just buying more. So im goingto try and live out of my cupboards/freezer for the next couple of weeks and save some pennies too!
I also wanted to declutter my dining room table so we can all sit down together again for dinner tonight, but i will see how i feel after sitting in front of my freezer for a bit lol
Hope you all manage to get something done today0 -
Good Morning fellow messies.
Work was really busy yesterday and I didn`t feel like cleaning/clearing/decluttering afterwards, so I went for a walk instead. I`m trying to build exercise into everyday as I`m trying to lose weight.
However in between work managed to get all the washing done and dried. Also got DH to take shower curtain and bathroom curtains down for washing.
Just have to iron curtains now and hang them back up.
Bathroom looking ok now except for the grouting which really needs replacing.
That`s a job for DH though.
It looks as though some of you have been overdoing things - don`t get too carried away. Baby steps all the way for me.
Hoping to get the border in the front garden wedded at lunchtime. Then need to get the many pots I have around the garden sorted. The herbs (including the lavender) are looking very worse for wear. Might have to replace them. The lavender in the front garden is doing really well though.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Morning everyone,
I haven't been on for a few weeks but I am back to restart my decluttering efforts:rotfl::rotfl:
I have only had a quick read of this last page but will sit down with a coffee later and catch up.
I also suffered a bereavement, my sister was killed in a crash back in 2004 and for me it was the start of letting everything go in my life. My weight, the housework...I too struggle at times to cope even now so hugs for all.
I am slowly (and I do mean slowly) working my way around the house decluttering. I have only just realised that my house will never be tidy and easy to keep tidy without me getting rid of the junk I appear to have hoarded:rotfl:
My decluttering for April list:
Bookcase - get rid of books I have no interest in, files full of very old bills etc (I mean why on earth keep those!), and general bits and piecesdumped there by the rest of the clan. Done
My clothes - Huge amounts of clothes ranging in sizes 22 to 10 (I haven't been a size 10 for over 10 years!) Done
My teenager's books - Huge amounts of books he has gathered for years. He still has loads but they are ones he stil reads. Done
My 'junk' cupboard -I can see the bottom now! Done
My OH's clothes - Why oh why have so many t-shirts and only wear 5 of them! Done
My back [STRIKE]garden[/STRIKE] jungle:rotfl:- ongoing
So not too bad for April, now I need to make a list for May:j
Right the kitchen sink is calling and then off to the shops so hopefully I will catch up with you all later:beer:Good Enough Club member number 20 -
Morning all.
I've got the breakfast washing up done, so kitchen's looking good. I need to get the living room curtains up. I washed them a couple of weeks ago but have been putting off getting them back up as stretching up to get the hooks on the rail makes my arms ache. Luckily, we're not overlooked and only usually close the curtains in the winter, but the windows do look bare without the curtains there.
I also need to sort out the curtain hooks in the hallway. We've been living with hooks that are too big for the rail, so they have a tendency to pop off the rails. I got around to buying some new hooks at the weekend, so that's another job for today.
I also need to make some bread and do a wash.
Oh, and hoover the dining room and hallway.0 -
Dunno if it's the magical effect of the thread but I did a big chili last night, decanted it from the pot and put it into the sink to soak and.....then......WASHED IT UP. Right away. Normally, it would've sat at least overnight, possibly longer. What on earth is wrong with me? It was about 10 pm, I was exhausted anyway and I did it.
Phew, good job there's still plenty of mess on the premises as I wouldn't want to be bounced out of the Messie Club and sent to hobnob with the Neatniks.Did get the recyclings off the premises and rubbish collection has continued to be random with none this week thus far, good job I'm a fairly light consumer and all the rotables go to the allotment or it might be getting a bit whiffy.:)
Have a good day y'all and don't overdo it or you'll leave me behind.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.
