    Hey messies :)

    bearcub, hope you're feeling better :( x

gilly, look after yourself hun x

itchy, happy birthday for tomorrow in case I forget! :) x

Not much demessying done today, a bit of kitchen cleaning, hoovering, general tidying, and WMx1. I have, however, been spending money :o Came into some cash - enough to replace some appliances. I've ordered a new carpet cleaner, a bathroom cabinet, and will be ordering a washer dryer. Trying to talk myself out of a dishwasher because I really need a cooker with a working thermostat :o

Got myself a new tv for the living room, finally got rid of my big clunky old-fashioned thing and got a 42in 3D one (with free 3D blu-ray player) from Mr T, well, DD2 wants it for her room so not exactly getting rid....and I bought myself the complete Frasier boxed set which will be arriving tomorrow, have wanted that for years:j Of course, now I need a Sky HD box so that's been ordered too....:o

Also got myself a new pong, Alien by Thierry Mugler, but that really has to be the end of the treats!! :) The rest WILL be spent on the house, it's just a case of whittling down my rather long list of wants :o

Tomorrow I'm planning to continue the assault on my bedroom. DD1 is staying here for a few nights :D but both her and DD2 are off to Gay Pride in Glasgow tomorrow so unless I decide to go along too, I'll have peace to get on with things :)

No more being done tonight, I'm going to sit and watch the Download festival on the new telly :D

Hope everyone has had a good day :) xx

Hi Cat. What wonderful news, that you can treat yourself to all sorts of new things. How exciting! :j Thank you for wishing me better, and I have got better as the day wore on. Not sure if that's the bug, or whatever, wearing off, or the combination of ubuprofen and paracetamol taken at 2 hourly intervals. My back and neck are still aching, and my head feels heavy rather than aching, but my legs have stopped hurting now.

Candygirl, I'm no domestic goddess, either, but I'm better at housework than I am at cooking. Or, to be totally accurate, I do housework because I don't mind doing it, while I greatly dislike cooking.

Christmas prezzies already, farmerswife?! I can't cope with that, this early, but I have already bought the materials for the cards.

Cat congratulations its nice when you have a windfall.
Iv had a headache for the last couple of hours think its due to the weather being so close. Bearcub glad your feeling better.
Iv still done nothing so Saturday needs to be a productive one. Did get some shopping and treated myself to new pjs from Marks.
Going to my mums in a couple of weeks with my dd and oh. Son staying behind as at 17 he would rather stay at home. I can just see him using the family room to eat, sleep and play xbox games for the four days we are away. Glad everyone is okay take care.

My son was off work most of the week with a headache and feeling really rough, lots of others reporting the same. I even had a bit of a headache, neither of us do headaches. I can count on one hand those I've had in my life.
So house is a bit messier than both of us wanted, but hey - ho. TG for the cleaner, who earned her pennies this week.

ScarletRaven - you're up late, or very early!

Haha, I have very erratic sleeping patterns, and I'm up late yet again ;)

Earlier today (yesterday?) I didn't get much done at home, but I spent a good few hours at my mum's house. I cooked her a nice big batch of spiced rice while I was there, to go with the curry that was leftover from the batch I'd made for dinner the night before. So I do feel productive in that sense :) Also got a washload dry (on the radiators - yes, it was that chilly here tonight!) and washed the dishes. Tiny baby steps I know, but it's making me feel good to be doing even these few things each day, and I'll slowly up the amount until I have a proper daily routine going :)

Good morning fellow Messies and Happy Birthday to ItchyFeet. Hope you enjoy your day however you spend it.

I'm another one who would rather cook than clean. I'd also rather grow something, make something, hunt for ancestors, etc., but the cleaning really needs to be done

Bought my steam mop yesterday and some 32l storage boxes (3 for £10). They are currently dumped in the hall causing more mess, lol. I promise I will move them by the end of tomorrow.

SoWorried - I empathise with you. When you feel like that, one a day is a lot; one an hour is massive achievement. Congratulations! Be very proud of your progress!

Visiting parents today, so won't get much done but I must repot the chilli plants before I go. Planted seeds expecting 50% germination and got 90%. Been giving plants away. Wonder if I can offload a few on my parents even though they don't eat chillis, lol. In the past I've had tomato jungles; this year it will be chilli forest; I don't learn from the past.
