Cat, glad you had a good holiday and nice to have you back. x :)

Hugs to anyone that needs one x

1st hour, I have emptied the washing machine in to a basket, put another load in and put coissants in the oven for breakfast.

2nd hour, hung the 1st load up to dry on the airer, not nice enough to put them outside.

3rd hour, made bed, opened curtains, dirty laundry in to the basket. Showered dressed and hair done. 1 extra itemed iron again to try to control the pile.

4th hour, 2nd load hung to dry, straightners put away.

    5th hour, dishes done

6th hour, dinner prepared and shopping done.

    7th hour, trainers cleaned

8th hour, floor in the hall swept and moped

    Morning all!

I was wondering how your home is coming along Soworried - are you seeing any results yet? I should think you must be as you seem to be getting an awful lot accomplished! :T

Apathy took over for me and i went a bit AWOL at the weekend. Back at work now so not much occurs during the week. I am going to try again tomorrow - it's my birthday tomorrow and instead of using that as an excuse not to do anything, i'm going to try to think of a tidy house as a present to myself!

    I wish :rotfl:

Other than the cooker and the kitchen floor everything else is as bad if not worse. It looks more written down :o
The garden and bathroom are getting worse, everything else I'm managing to keep the same now, so I am hoping as each day comes it will start to improve.
My family are all off at weekends so they tend to get quite a bit done then, like their uniforms and suits washed and ironed for work and school and things like that.
I am hoping that in two weeks time when the kids break up we can all make a step forward. If I can keep on top of it now it will be easier.
Happy birthday for tomorrow and don't do to much, that is the day you should relax and do no housework x :)

    Thankyou :o
Posting what I am doing each hour is really helping. I think I don't want to move but I must so I can post it :D Sounds sad but it is working for me, even if it is I just moved a cup from the front room to the kitchen, it is less mess, dirt and clutter. :T

Just think though, if you are at work you are not making a mess :j

    Hi everyone,

Friday is always my busiest day as I like to get everything ready for the weekend so I only have to do my minimum jobs and not think about anything else.

I have a set a minimum jobs I do every single day without fail (only takes about 15 minutes) Air the bed, open the curtains, blinds and bedroom window, open curtains blinds and windows downstairs, wash up and put dishes away after breakfast, wipe the bathroom sink, make the bed and sweep the living room and kitchen, put any laundry away or put a load on and make sure the dining and coffee tables are clear. If I've done that then I'm happy. And I don't let myself put the computer on before that's all done (or it would never get done!)

Today I need to touch up some paintwork and just make sure everything is put away where it should be.

    Have a good day everyone.

    Afternoon Messies.

Itchyfeet, don't forget to enjoy your birthday, too! :)

Soworried, how about doing one extra little task every other hour? Could you do that, do you think? It would be similar to doing just one extra bit of ironing. And I think you're doing wonderfully, considering that, when you first joined us, you couldn't even raise the effort to get dressed.

A list of lists could get awfully complicated, buttercup! I only have a list when we go into town once a month; otherwise we shop locally nearly every day. But then, there are only two of us, and we're both retired.

Gilly bean, back pain isn't at all unusual in late pregnancy. Is your baby facing forwards? If so, you'd be like I was with DD1, the baby's spine in line with yours, which an be very painful.

Doubt I'll get much done today, as I think I may have a bug of some kind. Woke up this morning with painful joints in my legs and back, and a slight headache. I feel slightly yuk, too. I must get some birthday cards finished, though.

Hugs bearcub, you should rest if you are not feeling well x

I am still struggling to get dressed and do the 1 thing an hour at the moment but I will try to increase it to 2 an hour when I can.

AE, touching up paintwork  That is great. :T

Thanks, soworried. I don't do sitting still - I'm a born fidget! That doesn't necessarily mean I get anything done, though. Even when I had depression, I was on the move all the time. I did sleep a lot, though. I don't actually feel ill, just a bit off-colour, and very achy.

As for you doing two things in an hour, don't push yurself, too fast - it was just a suggestion. Don't want you taking two steps back.

The midwife hasn't said which which way she is facing, all I know is it bl@@dy hurts, couldn't even stand to make OH pack up earlier.

I'm going to sit and do a bit of ironing then might curl up with the dogs and watch a film
