Yippee!!!:j I have my downstairs loo back lol
This little room has become a dumping ground for stuff the last few months and I'm sick of it! It doesn't help it's where I keep all the animal food so the little theives cant get to it  But when OH emptied my car out he decided to chuck it all in there so Housemate (HM) decided that meant he could put rubbish in there too
So today I emptied it, scrubbed it floor to ceiling, cleaned toilet & sink put smelly candles in there and just need to get some lovely soft fluffy towels and a new rug and it's all set to go :T
Now I am sorting the hallway cleaning all the woodwork ect. My friend is going to finish the half arsed DIY jobs OH has started and NEVER bothered to finished. OH decided to pull all the wood cladding off the staircase great but there was nothing behind it so I have this huge hole going into the cupboard under the stairs. Cats love it as they can hide in there and mummy can't get to them  Mummy however just wants her hallway back!
Said friend is also sorting the front of my house this weekend for me (he must feel sorry for me lol) sanding all the old varnish and paint off and re-doing it all for me. I'm having black gloss wood and white walls. How does that sound? All the neighbours are all over white so I want to be diffrent plus it will upset the neighbourhood bust body (my only joy in life :rotfl:)
How is everyone else this weekend? Hope you have the lovely weaather we do

Fantastic work, Faith! It seems that nearly everyone on here is getting on really well with their de-messying, except me. Trouble is, my time is best part my own, and my attitude tends to be 'tomorrow'. Ah, well.

At bearcub I am normally like that hun. I do two jobs so when I get a day off I feel like I deserve to nothing and that's part of the problem. I'm only on a cleaning kick atm cause my mum is down for a week on Weds lolFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0

Black on white can look very effective, Faith. Even better if it gets up the nose of someone you can't stand.
Gradually getting through ironing the summer clothes that have been in storage for the last 8 months.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Thanks Mcculloch this neighbour think she owns the street and is always telling me what to do and not to do lol
I haven't even started on the ironing (that is my worst job) so all power to you lol. I'm just doing the upstairs bathroom now 1 sack of rubbish! How??? It's a bathroom! It's mainly bottles with a tiny bit left that OH & HM can't be bothered to chuckFirst Date 08/11/2008, Moved In Together 01/06/2009, Engaged 01/01/10, Wedding Day 27/04/2013, Baby Moshie due 29/06/2019 :T0 -
Hi everyone
Blimey what a mad week last week. Voluntary work to finish and submit to the committee, parents evening at the secondary school that DS is going to in September, meeting with DS1s tutor, meeting with medical psychologist, and a day in hospital with DS1. Oh and an appointment at the opticians for me. Glad its weekend.
So nothing much has been going on on the housework front. I really must sort out the utility room next week. Going to upset OH because all the stuff of his that is dumped in there is going to get dumped in the shed. Tough.
Oh and its pouring down here - again. Took the boys for an hour in the cricket nets this morning while the sun was shining. I sat and read my book while they practised. When they started arguing I just moved to a bench further away so I couldnt hear them. Bliss.
Off to find something on telly to watch now while I do the ironing. Boys are best friends again and playing on XBox. Hubby has gone to his shed to do "stuff".
Have a good afternoon everyone!
Oh and Devon sounds great Cat. Hope you have a great time and get some nice weather!0 -
The rain here for about 30mins was coming down in sheets. It dried up after that.
Faith we have a busy body too who likes to snitch to the council over the least thing. I wont go into his snitching but suffice to say everyone on the block has been targeted at some point. Hope his nose falls off, lol.
Well Iv done zilch again but sleep. I really need to get a grip as this is how the depression starts.
Faith good on you for all the housework you have done.
Hugs everyone.0 -
Yorkshirelass, it's hardly surprising that not much housework has got done, with everything else on your plate atm. Nice thing about boys, I imagine, is that they don't hold grudges like girls do. How is DS1?
Can't imagine having a neighbour that lays down the law to everyone, Faith. DD2 and bf may be able to buy their rented flat at the end of November (depends on the price the landlord wants, of course). DD has a passion for black, and her bf has told her they are NOT having everything black when they get their own home! Despite growing up, it seems once a goth, always a goth.
Snookey, and the council took notice every time? Very odd. Ex-council employee, was he?
We've been very lucky with our neighbours, in all three houses we've had. Mum had very noisy neighbours, though, and had to make official complaints. Luckily, they moved before she decided to move here, otherwise it would have been impossible to sell her house.
I've been a busy de-messier today. Finished and printed out all paperwork needed for tomorrow's meeting, brought in the dry washing, washed the kitchen and bathroom floors, and edged half the back grass. I didn't do the whole lawn, as I was worried I'd end up with severe back ache. The muscles ain't what they used to be, sadly. Oh, and I cleaned and tidied the bathroom. Amazing how much difference the re-furbishment has made to my attitude. Wonder when the novelty will wear off?0 -
Hi Bearcub to give an example, I had left food out in a dish for my cats , bear in mind I own the property the dish was on. Snitch told the council and a council official came out to tell me I could not feed my cats on the step.
Snitch denied he had called the council but Id seen him talking to the council man and pointing at my house !!!!.
There are lots of petty reports he has made and he is always complaining about someone.
Im very upfront and if Iv got something to say I say it to that person and he has been told.
Anyway after that rant, lol. Iv been to Asda just to get out of the house. Ended up buying rubbish ie sweets, cakes ect.
I promise to do some housework on Sunday even if its just the washing.
Bearcub it does make you feel like cleaning when a room has been refurbed . It gives you the boost because you can see how nice things can be.0
