Yes we're pretty lucky up here snookey, don't know how long it will continue though!

Glad yesterday was good bearcub, sounds lovely! :)

I've decluttered a drawer:j and binned a load of paperwork, and given the bathroom a wipe over.

Really cold, I'm tempted to put the heating on but will try and be mse and just put on a jumper! It's ridiculous for June :( Going to chill with the tennis for a while then do some more pottering. Have taken some Cumberland sausages out the freezer for tea, I'd like to do a casserole but fussy DS won't eat it so no point:(

Hi Cat. It seems ridiculous considering a casserole for dinner in nearly July, doesn't it? Scotland hasn't had any summer for nearly three years, has it? And we think we have it bad! It was cloudy and humid this morning then, suddenly, a strong breeze arrived, and it's now sunny but a lot cooler.

I must clean the hob - again. I've cleaned up after the plumber, and the rest of the bathroom, too.

    Thanks bearcub and cat :-)

I need to have someone from uni to reply to emails to begin with!!
I'm still waiting to see if they accept my mitigating circumstances for missing my exams last month.
    But will see what happens

Anyway omg more work on our hands now!!! Had a very severe storm today that I was stuck out in down town, it was crazy!!! Tons rain, hail, thunder lightning, flooding AND possibly a tornado!!!! It was insane but exciting to be out in ,problem is when I got home I found part of our back garden has flooded as the drains couldn't cope so we have to clean it and bleach it (done before but been a while) also means the beet root I've been browning will have to go and my daughters tomato plants :-(

Well I've finally dried out lol and got the washing up done but now completely shattered

Hope everyone is good and didn't get the bad weather either

What a shame about the plants, Isis, but I guess it could have been other rather more important stuff that could have been ruined. One of my friends on another forum works in a primary school, and they had flash floods, too but, although they had to do a good deal of mopping up, and I don't think that there was any serious damage.

It's bright, breezy and chilly here. The problem with living near the sea is that we tend to mostly get either still weather, with sea mist rolling in, or a strong breeze. Wouldn't change it, though.

Cat lets hope the sun comes out for you .
Iv cleaned the kitchen and thats it. Tried doing some training with the dog. He does seem to be calming down a bit so maybe the hormones are falling now he had the snip.
Hope those having floods are sorted soon.
May go for a walk tomorrow. Feeling a bit cooped up.

bearcub, you're right, we really haven't had a summer here for at least 3 years! No sign of one today either snookey, again it's raining and completely overcast. I had high hopes earlier, it seemed to be brightening up for a while but it didn't last...:(

I live on a main road and detest the noise of the traffic but like my windows open. It's a real pain! And that swishy noise of traffic in the rain....aaargh!!! I swear my mental health would improve no end if it wasn't for the constant noise which is far from completely blocked out by closing the windows. In fact I know it would, the relief of getting down to Devon and not hearing it is huge!!

Have only done a washing today, and sorted out the plugs for the computer and attendant bits and pieces - exhausted myself doing that, it was all so awkward!

Going to grab a box from my bedroom and sort it now :)

    Hugs everyone :) xxx

    It's quiet on here today!

I didn't do anything yesterday well around the house anyway. Had to go to the hospital for a blood test as my midwife couldn't get any blood out of me on Wednesday then while we were out we went and did a bit of shopping to get us through the weekend.

We popped into The Range while we were out and they had 5 climbing plants for £10 so we got 2 honeysuckle, 1 passion flower, something I have no idea what it is and a clematis.

Also bought another fan as I'm melting at the minute. Was in a foul mood when we got back, hot and so uncomfortable that I just laid on the sofa watching tennis and then went to bed and watched more tennis.

Today I'm in a better mood, and have cleaned the bedroom oh yeah and watched the tennis and am currently sitting in the garden having a read while OH redesigns the garden.

Am trying two Gok recipes from his Chinese program tonight so have belly pork boiling away ready to be roasted later

Hi Gillybean:D: Glad you're feeling better today :)

I'm actually making good use of the tennis-watching time today - I've sat and sorted out 3 full plastic boxes of carp from my bedroom - binned loads and loads (mostly CDs), I'm very pleased! They have been cluttering up my bedroom - and my mind! - for years!!

Only another 6 boxes to go....:p In fact I'll make a pledge, if Heather Watson wins I'll sort out another 3 tonight!!:D:D

Now, that's really odd. I posted after Cat, and my post has vanished!

Hello gillybean. Don't think we've met before. Where are you that it's so hot? I didn't know the Range sold plants, not that I've ever seen a Range, never mind shopped in one.

I have every sympathy, Cat, about the noise. When we moved from outer London to our family house in Surrey, we had Defra at the bottom of the road, where they kept sheep on the fields, and we had two canals close by. Over the 27 years we lived there, Defra kept building on the fields (local planners were never going to turn down a government dept, were they?), and the M25 was built over one of our favourite canal walks. The motorway was almost a mile away but, because we were on a slight rise, we heard a constant hum. It drove me nuts! Here, mostly we hear birds, the occasional emergency services siren, and the odd plane flying to or from Southampton or Bournemouth.

Have cleaned the hob (again!), cleared up more brick dust on the shower cubicle, left by the plumber, and typed out a report for a meeting on Sunday. Oh, and put away the dried washing, and my tool box, which has been sitting on the lounge floor for weeks, waiting for someone to trip over it.

PS I have loads of vinyls, Cat, that need selling, but can't bring myself to advertise them.
