Well done Jacks mummy and Tadda. Im just sitting dwn with a coffee and choc biscuit before finishing our bedroom. So far Iv, scrubbed the bathroom, taken off the matress cover, its going to take ages to get it back on as it goes on like a quilt cover, changed our bed now leaving it to air, sorted out piles of paper, cups and books. Now going to mop the bedroom floor, put away piles of washing and then see if I can be bothered to sort out dd room.
See you all later.0 -
Snook! Blimey girl, you'll be over with the flyladies if you're not careful :P
Been at Snetterton watching the superbikes. Really just wanted to potter around at home but shouldn't complain really. Hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend xx

Afternoon messies! Another glorious day at Cloudy Acres but I've only pottered around and done a little bit of weeding today.
Had to come in and hide from the heat, so I'm having a nice chicken salad as an early dinner and will go and plant up the strawberries in a bit.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Really pleased here as DS has finally got round to using the £200 pressure washer I bought (for £100) last year to do the patio. Or was it bought the year before? I had to have a tap put in the garden (£70) and buy a garden hose and connectors too before the pressure washer could be used. So a very, very considerable outlay. The tap got used a few times when the DG's shoes zeroed in on the only dog muck in a half mile radius. They are specialists at this.
I might get DS to do the bin as well, it's minging. The wheely bin cleaner got his equipment nicked ages ago and I've not got round to catching his replacement.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Evening all. Been a bit of a strange weekend. OH really tired after a busy week at work so he just wanted to relax and chill out which is fair enough but I am bored bored bored at the moment so have been a bit grumpy. I just feel really miserable at the moment and couldnt wait for it to get to half nine last night so I could just go to bed.
Anyhow, hoovered and mopped the floors downstairs yesterday, got the washing and ironing up to date, did a bit of baking this morning and ordered an online Tesco shop. Did a bit of gardening too but we need to get some more plants and dont have the funds for it at the moment.
Oh and Mcculloch we have a pressure washer in the shed which I am ashamed to say I never use. It just seems such a faff getting it all connected up that I can never be bothered!
Right, better warn the kids that its time to come in soon and get a shower and some supper - how popular is that going to make me?0 -
Bin is now washed. It took DS about 45 minutes to set the Karcher up, so everything has been pressure washed.
We have one of those ex-council houses - built '64 - with an outhouse linked to the house that runs the length of the garden, at the end of it is a cubby hole for the bins that used to be the coal hole.
A roofed porch type area runs the whole length, useful for keeping you dry as you come in.
The back of next door's outhouse forms a garden wall on the other side, until it meets a white Sixties horizontal plank and post fence. Every surface got zapped by the pressure washer. Might as well make use of it whilst it was out...Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Hi messies!
i haven't had a very productive day in the house today, but on the plus side i did spend the morning with my sister (i'm adopted and i've just got in touch with her) so i'm not going to moan about not getting any housework done!!!
I've got a load of washing in the machine to hang out tomorrow & i'm really going to have to hoover downstairs at some point!!
Hope you've all had a good weekend!!!
JxxIt's a farmers life for me......:j0 -
I've admitted defeat, have called in a cleaning company to give the house a top-to-bottom Spring Clean.
(on the plus side, I've de-cluttered with 5 bags-for-life of books to Charity shops, a visit to recycling centre and plenty on Freegle)0 -

I so relate to this
Once done though, it may just be the motivation you have to keep it clean. And it's much easier to simply maintain the clean state rather than have to create it from scratchWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0
