Hello my lovelies :) Gone and got myself a job interview next week! As a home carer. Was a bit worried about the bodily fluids aspect of the work but then remembered about all the various times I've dealt with that sort of thing and it really hasn't bothered me. Hmm. Here's hoping I can manage it!

House wise, I've done laundry, put dry laundry away, done a mountain of washing up, been running, planted out my dahlia and cosmos bulbs, done some weeding and had some special time with OH :D

All in all, coupled with my lovely mum buying me a lovely lunch in town, I've had a wonderful day :) Have a great evening everyone!

    Hi all!

Had a bit of a blitz today, tidied daughters room, 2 loads of washing (where the hell does it all come from???) and managed to bake! :D I'm now having a glass of wine and a chill out!

    Jxx
    It's a farmers life for me......:j

    Bleah.

I got a bit ambitious last night.

You see, DD wants to practise portrait photography on her friends, and has been saving for a pro lighting kit. And she'd really like to use the emptied playroom as her studio.

The walls are bright yellow, and, what's worse, painted over the original vinyl wallpaper, which was starting to lift. Time to redecorate. Where I've pulled off the paper, the paint has also partly pulled off, and it's a terrible job to scrape off the remaining paint, even with a steamer. I worked for a steamer charge tonight (90 minutes), just on the paint, and I managed a depressingly small amount. In the meantime, the whole house smells like, well, wet wallpaper. Yeuch. And I'm nowhere near finished.

I'm thinking...the ceiling needs skimming/de-artexing anyway-I wonder how much extra it would cost to have the skimmer do the walls as well?

You know, once I've scraped the rest of the paper off...

And in the meantime, the washing mountain grows...:p

Hi Faith my dog is a collie though I suspect he has lab in him too.

Today Iv plumbed in the new washing machine , put the old one in the yard, moved and cleaned under the drier, dishwasher, freezer and fridge. Everything had to be pulled out and moved to get the new washing machine in and the old one out. The floor was black under the appliances, oops.
I couldnt be bothered waiting for other people to help so I did it myself. Now Im aching.
Ill have to do a shop tommorrow as the cupboards are bare.
Messymare good luck with your interview .Farmers wife the washing breeds whilst we sleep, lol.
Testing the machine out and its taking ages. Its got all different knobs and buttons not like my old one. I think you have to have a science degree to work one.
Laurel glad Im not you . All that scraping mind you, when its finished you will have acheived a big job. Pat on the back for you.:T
    Take care everyone.

Snookey, I DO have a science degree, and I was pretty shocked when I got a new washing machine last year  I swear they sent men to the moon in something with a shorter manual.

But, as a friend of mine said, a REALLY clever machine would have precisely one button, saying "Wash this". I want one :D

(I soon narrowed the frightening number of possibilities down to a couple of programs I use all the time. Just like everybody else:rotfl:)

My puppy is a beagle/collie mix but we also think he has lab in him too. With all those breads and still a puppy you can imagine the fun and games he gets up to!

I've gotten the waashing pile down to a dull roar thanks to the weather. (i will admit that yesterdays washing is still on the line overnight as I [STRIKE]couldn't be arrised[/STRIKE] forgot to get them in. Kids bedding tomorrow :)

My bedroom is looking a lot better but still needs some tidying/dusting cleaning. Not sure how much I will get done tomorrow as I need to study.

Also did some weeding yesterday so chuffed with that athough still a long way to go with it.

Very early morning messies. I'm still in bed, in case you were wondering!
Not sure what l will be up to today, apart from a post office run and putting more junk on eBay. It's going to be a hot one apparently :-) take care of your skin if you are out and about x
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

Grr Iv just fixed my old washing machine. All that was wrong was a blocked filter. OH had tried to open it the other week but said it did not come off. Iv just tried and it came off easy!. Im going to put it in the cellar as a spare .
Laurel it makes it easier knowing even those who have science degrees struggle working out a washing machine. Just think a man could use one if it only had one button, lol.
Iv just got back from the dentist with dd. Her face was swollen this morning due to an abcess. Dentist had left bad baby teeth in and they are now causing problems. My dd brushes her teeth but has had nothing but problems where as my son is the oppisite and has had no problems. Feel guilty every time we go the dentist. Even using the disclosing tablets showing up the plaque.
Shopping done and were having spag bolog for tea.
Fuddle well done on plugging away at that cleaning.
Im going to clear out the family room tommorrow and see if I can wash a rug .
Take care everyone and enjoy the sun.

    Rampant Recycler
Had a student come round and do five hours of gardening for me today, how much better everything looks!
I have a stretch of pavers/cobbles at the front of my town-house that is a weed paradise, weed-killer had got them but with all the rain it took them weeks and weeks to die. Now they are gone.

I got strict with myself and de-junked a large bedside drawer. As always, I wondered why I had kept so much carp for so long.

My aim of filling the huge recycling wheely bin each fortnight (paper, card, tin) is going to plan. I aim to do this by de-junking obsolete paperwork. I am an adult education tutor and ex-registered childminder, and have mountains of it, tho smaller mountains than I had. I still have a few bits of paperwork I'm obliged to keep for 21 years for childminding...
