My home is a mess

I really need to get organised. I'm feeling right out of kilter and need to see if a bit of order makes me feel a bit better. I've done it before (when we were selling our last house 4 years ago) and it felt fantastic, so I know how good it can feel.0

I have a thought for all us messies having watched the programs on hoarders recently I know I am doing OK really how about everyone else?0

Lol, nearlyrich...yes, in the house....unfortunately, today I tried to put something away in the garage, and simply tucked it under the old dining table, because I couldn't get any further.
It gave me a very, very sick feeling...import this0 -
Morning all, back to reality after a sneaky weekend away camping. It was lovely and very MSE because I won a two night stay on a local campsite.
Felt thoroughly fed up yesterday when we came home because I was left to sort out and put away all the camping stuff then OH made himself something to eat and left the kitchen like a bombsite. I didnt want to make a scene after we have had a nice weekend but he is just so untidy and either I nag at him and we argue or I just do it myself. If I say something it makes no difference, looking around me its really messy in here and 90% of it is his. Sigh.
At least the sun is shining and with a bit of motivation I should be able to get a lot done today. I should really go for a run too - maybe that will pick me up a bit!
Have a good day fellow messies.0 -
Hi messies.
Sounds like some of you had good weekends, and hugs for those who didn't.
I got out in the garden yesterday, actually got around to tidying up the raspberry jungle- amazingly didn't discover any lost children in there, but did find about 7 balls! I chuck them over the fence to next door, in case they are theirs, but most get chucked back in cos they aren't theirs. So we end up with loads of balls in our garden.
I also weeded and dug 3 veg patches and they are almost ready for planting!!! I loooove my digging hoe. Makes light work of gardening.
Gave up the allotment this year after hurting my back, and I am meant to go up there to pick up my hose and any other bits that may be lying around, but I CBA! For one thing, because it was so neglected, I am mortified to go up in case I see someone.... but I don't want to leave the hose as it cost quite a bit.
Oh God, just remembered that I dumped everything out of the kids' clothes cupboard this morning when I was looking for a school cardigan, and it is an avalanche on the floor waiting to be sorted and shoved back in. Great, just what I fancy doing!! Ah well, will put Bargain Hunt on the wee TV up there and see if I can get it all done while it's on!Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These

Hi Messies. Big ((HUGS)) to all & thanks for being there - this is one of the days I need this board! I typed a longish post earlier, and lost it!
That says it all about my morning - a non-event!
Had a lie-in, got up feeling drained. Lost count of coffees, but they haven`t kicked in yet!
Bins are out, bird-feeders filled, had a wander round outside with Daftie-dog, and that`s it. I CAN see some progress where I`ve been nettle- snipping, but there`s still oceans of nettles untouched...
Herbs and runnerbeans look like they`re thriving (in planters/tubs etc), and bees still visiting the dandelions so they can stay awhile longer...

Downstairs not too bad, but nothing to be smug about either.
DGD`s bedroom still very untidy but now minus 2 binbags of good clothes hardly worn - neighbour is delighted as they fit her youngest! Shows how long since we had a proper sort-out!
Caravan & `spare` bedroom - symptoms of Bad Hoarding, yes Laurel, I know that `very very sick` feeling! NOT all my stuff, but DS won`t hear of sorting or moving HIS stuff so I could get to sort & skip some of my clutter. MY worst accumulations are kitchen stuff & books, other stuff I can happily get rid of..
have a decent day, Messies. xx

Not so energised today-Spent the morning with a friend making funeral arrangements for their partner/my friend but did at least drop two bags of stuff into the charity shop enroute so the "do something daily to declutter" target is still on track.
Bedroom is now bedless untill I've had a good hoover and found more old clothes to chuck. Need to get on with it as new bed is in the lounge annoying the heck out of me until I take all the bits upstairs and build it
I'm doing the grab a handful of weed as I pass too-Every little helps !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I sprayed the weeds on the garden path this morning while it was still sunny. The front garden has a couple of bushes that really need a trim but I am freezing today so it can wait til the sun comes out again.
Done a bit of dusting and hoovering, going to tackle the dining room shortly!I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

I'm in the middle of doing the kitchen - it's a big job. I have plenty of 'before' pics. I desperately need 'after'.
I get easily distracted. The phone rang and I came through here to answer it (but missed it) so came on the computer to send my OH a message on FB to see if it was him. What should have taken me 2 minutes has taken me 10. I'm off!!0
