    Gorgeous day here fellow messies!
I must get out in the garden today. Friend took little one out to the park for a few hours, so I should take advantage. Mind you, she does love having a poke out in the garden. I went to put on a welly the other day and there was a dessicated mouse stuck to the inside. She came and got it and happily took it inside to show her big sister --- cue shrieks from the living room!
So far today I haven't done much.
    Tidied the bedroom.
Tidied the kitchen and have a pot of Algerian schorba (soup) on the go. Takes long slow cooking. Have also prepped for another Algerian dish to go with it.
Gonna do a quick tidy and hoover of downstairs in a mo then get outside.
Got 3 loads of washing done and dried yesterday, so have none left to do today. Oh, actually, I'm sure there will be school uniforms lurking on the kids' bedroom floor that I will need to rescue.
Welcome to the new messies, and the returning ones. The more the merrier!
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

Jacksmummy - welcome & good luck with the pantry!
MessyMare & Kitty - Big ((HUGS)) to both you dearies... MM, try to keep positive, it`s too easy to get into those downward spirals I know - just try to stay level till you see the good doc...
FA#1 - well done getting the camping gear put away. We used to do a lot of `camp in the damp` weekends some years back, airing kit before stowing away again was always a nightmare!

    Messy status - kitchen & LR - acceptable...just.
DGD`s room - my own darling messy mare(coming up 13) is residence this weekend, and as I type she is sorting through her clothes. So much stuff she either `never wears` or doesn`t fit, that she can`t find stuff she would wear.
We have declared an armistice - I promise not to get cross about new stuff that`s outgrown but still unworn, DGD promises not to stop till the job`s done! (I`m on standby to consult/encourage & help with folding, which is not her strong point.......)
Had quite an exciting morning. OH assembled the garden storage bench that arrived yesterday (I used my nectar points and a double points voucher.) I helped a bit, mostly cheering him on from the sidelines. He only swore twice...and has since gone for a lie-down. I`m very pleased with the bench, am going to have a slow potter selecting items to go in it this pm, which might make caravan look a bit less crammed...
Drags self off to fold some clothes...

Hi everyone and welcome to everyone who is new.

Stupid dog has broke the third cat flap Iv bought. Keeps sticking his head through.
Iv scrubbed the bathroom floor and cleaned the sides, used the rubber mop on the stairs and landings, got a pile of hair the size of a cat off them, mopped and tidied the livingroom and hall.
    Iv got to;
    mop the kitchen,
    do the dishes ,
    do laundry,
pick up the rubbish from the back thats from a bin bag the dog ripped open.
Ill pop in later to report and see how everyone is getting on.

Snookey, you have the patience of a saint with that dog of yours, I'd have kennelled him in the garden, as a good friend did with a rescue dog that was wrecking his house. I do hope he improves!
Putting it bluntly, is he too thick to be trained, as my friend's dog (Springer-Lab cross with Springer brain) was?

I finally found a cork notice board to hang my necklaces from (on push pins). It was in Wilko's, where else? I think I will pass my shortly to be un-needed jewellery box on to my grand-daughter to help her to keep tidy.

Got up today expecting to help OH replace the back fence posts but by the time I'd got myself showered, dressed and breakfasted he'd got one of the neighbours round helping him. So instead I've spent the day pottering. Cleaned bathroom and kitchen, 4th load in the WM, loaf done in BM, baked a batch of hobnobs and a sponge cake. Feeling pretty good about it all. Just trying to work up the energy to make a start on cleaning the bedroom. Should really tackle the living room first but its cluttered with OH's stuff and I hate cleaning round that. And I'm too scared to move it so bedroom it is. Supposed to be going out for dinner tonight so that's motivating me to keep going - don't have to do it for much longer!

mcculloch I know but I took him on and he only has to look at you with those big brown eyes and I melt. I know he will calm down one day. He is quiet clever being a collie and needs to be kept active.
Iv scrubbed out the kitchen and I mean scrubbed as the moulting and dirty treaded through. Washing in machine only another six to go!.
Iv sent oh to the chippy as I cant be bothered to cook.
Sonastin have a great dinner out.

*hugs* Emm, thank you so much. I'm trying hard to be positive, but these anxiety spikes just keep knocking me for six! I keep thinking about coming back to post here but you're all so productive I felt a bit ashamed of myself.

So I've done a full day at work today, got rewarded for a big sale I made so I'm going to use the money to get some curtains for one of the spare bedrooms. I dropped off four big bags of bits at the charity shop in town, the woman's face lit up when I took it in, bless her. Done the weekly shopping, £10 cheaper than normal because I got a huge amount in when tesco had their £10 off £80 voucher. B took me to the cinema last night, which was lovely and unexpected, we saw Avengers Assemble- it's been a long time since I laughed that hard in the cinema!

*hugs* to everyone- you sound like you've all been doing great :)

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

    Morning all,
Didn't manage to do the pantry yesterday but I did manage to..
Sort the 2 drawers in the console table.. Got rid of a pile of magazines that were cluttering them up.. I love Freecycle :D
Did one basket of ironing that has been sat on my table for the last 3 weeks ( just another large basket to do)
sorted DS's wardrobe out, got rid of a large bag of clothes to my friend
I then went through Ds's bedroom like a tornado, all toy boxes were sorted, lots given away & a few bits are up for sale on a selling page. all proceeds will be split half will go in DS's money box and the other half will be put towards a new school uniform for after the big school holiday
Even DH got in on the act - he sorted his fishing tackle out and sold a few bits to put the money by for another bee hive he wants.

    So today I plan to:
Pack Eb*y items ready to post tomorrow
make a start on the 2nd basket of ironing
sort drawers & cupboard in the dresser
Make a start on the pantry!

Hope youu all have a lovely day :)
