That's good enough, you still retain your legend status :D

I didn't get much done... one load of washing, one loaf of bread. I felt a bit off colour about 2pm ish so went and had a disco nap, feeling slightly better now. Due to feeling off I didn't have any tea so cooking some pasta now.

I have done a bit of quilting, and I'm finding that so soothing, it's amazing.

    ((((((Oh Buffy))))))

Hey...debt free and driving-that's two enormous achievements in your signature alone xxx

Well done, Kitty....I had some painting to do these holidays, but I've got nowhere near it. As for the head down when you see somebody you like...been there. I've cancelled dates, too, Buffy. Now I just eat and eat to feel safe. Maybe we should start a "single and daft" thread for us all xxxx :o

Hope you feel better soon jps...I can't believe it's Thursday either...and it's nearly Friday now!

Thanks, bearcub...I might put up some photos in a couple of weeks. Still pottering around, and it's starting to look more like a garden and less like a building site every day. At least until I started pulling apart...a sort of flowerbed...near the back door. Obviously, the people who owned the house before thought the area outside the back door was a bit bleak , so they lifted one of the huuuuuuuuuge concrete slabs and put in some edging. I dropped in a smaller slab and put pots on top, years ago. But that was back when we had one wheelie bin and a place in the hedge to hide it. Now we have three full-sized bins (and no hedge :D), and this edged bed forces the bins into the eyeline from the back door. Anyway, I got caught by the rain and now have a trip hazard and a pile of mud instead...

I had a quick go at my bedroom. My heart lifted when I came upstairs and all the carp was gone from the windowsill. Unfortunately, it had been moved to my bed, but at least I now know what I'm aiming for ;)

Easy victory of the day-during the pelting rain I had a brainwave, leaned out of the landing window and squirted biodegradeable washing up liquid over the roof of the greenhouse below...it wasn't that dirty, so it worked pretty well :rotfl:

I'm joining up for single and daft! There are lots of batty old spinsters in my family tree (and they were all pretty happy too), so I reckon I'm keeping the family traditions alive!

I made my breakfast biscotti today (quite healthy, made with eggs, fairly low sugar, flour, oatbran and hazelnuts) I have a couple of those with an apple on the way to work every morning and there's enough there for a couple of weeks now.

I've also washed the chair and sofa cover and hoping the rain stays off while they dry. I might now have a go at doing some cushion covers for the new sofa cushions.

I still feel a bit off colour... dodgy tummy, and when I eat something I have really bad indigestion. Never mind, at least I can just be lazy if I want to now.

Love your greenhouse roof cleaning strategy laurel! I'd also love to see your garden pics when you are ready with them. I love my garden, it's rather... ahem... wildlife friendly but that suits me and I really enjoy it.

Hi everyone. Iv not read all posts as Id be here till the cows come home.
Buffy give yourself a hug and treat yourself.
Iv been out to the hospital with my ddad. He is much better although his leg is still swollen. Has not stopped his social life his mate has just picked him up. Feel like his mother nagging him not to drink more than one and half pints due to the warfrin.
I cleaned up the kitchen yesterday and had balls of cat fur off the floor and rug.
Today Im not doing anything else as its a no tidy day for me. Oh has cleaned up so at least its clean.
Ill take a look at the other posts later. Take care everyone.

Afternoon messies. Page three again?! :rotfl: You know, we may start getting a reputation! ;)

Oh Buffy! PLEASE don't think of yourself as a failure. You're not in a good place in your head atm, and so you get very 'internal' (I know, been there, done that). If it was meant to be, it would have happened. There will come a day when you feel ready to go out and meet someone and, when it happens, you'll be free to meet the man of your dreams. <HUGS!>

Kitty, congrats on all you've been able to do, despite feeling really 'orrible! You, too, will pick up one day. But, as my dd2 has said, when you're down, you can't remember how it was not to feel that way - but it works in reverse, too! <HUGS> to you, too.

Personally, I've always found that aiming for a bed is a lot less painful than a window sill, so the bed's probably better. :)

Love it, laurel. :T Wouldn't work for us, as the greenhouse is on a higher level than the bungalow roof, but maybe the other way round? Hmm

De-messying? Have finally put away my craft materials. Of course, I'll realise in a couple of days that I've forgotten soemone's birthday, and have to get at least some of them out again. I've changed the bedding, and put the duvet cover into soak. The cat has a growth on her nose which bleeds occasionally. Why it had to be over our pale blue cover this time, I don't know. :( I've also given our bedroom a really good vacuuming, best it's had for a long time. Climbed on the bed, and took down the lampshade, gave that a vacuuming, too. Even moved the bedside tables - anyone would think it's spring! Our shower's arrived and is in the garage. Should have the tiles and the rest of the bathroom fittings early next week. :j
  • Thank you for all being so lovely.

I am really annoyed with myself, haven't done any school work, am constantly looking at my phone for updates have gone proper pathetic teenage mode.

I have done that stupid empty a cupboard and have no where to put the stuff thing.

What the hell am I DOING?

am out tonight, can't bail cos my friend has split with bf. tomorrow is supposed to be for my birthday so can't bail.

why do I self sabotage so much?

Buffy sounds like you're being really hard on yourself there - hope you enjoy being out once you're out tonight. I know what you mean about back to school, I'm back on Monday too and honestly haven't felt like I had a holiday at all.

I've got nothing done that I hoped to as far as de-messying goes, but I did spend some days just chilling out with my hobby, so I can't really complain. I just wish I had endless motivation and energy!

Just had tea, managed to keep the kitchen de-messied and will now chill for the evening.

Hugs where they are wanted, and hope everyone is having a good Saturday.
