Well I have six binbags to take to the dump in the back of my car, two Ikea bags for the charity shop, two for car booting at the weekend, and a desk waiting for someone off gumtree to collect, DS room should finally be decorated on Thursday, all being well. I am delighted. The rest of the house is a tip, but I will catch up with at least the dishes, tonight! Well done everyone, I am very proud of us all, and craftkgranny you made me blush, so thank you :o

Blimey, i just don't know whats wrong with me, it has just gone 10pm and i have just finished cleaning one of the cupboards in the kitchen, i think i must be possessed, i am starting to become a cleany rather than a messy :rotfl::rotfl:...mind you i hope that doesn't exclude me from this thread :rotfl::rotfl::p.

I am still wide awake and could do loads more but i get up at 6.30 everyday in the summer to let the girls out of their hen house so i guess i best not start any more.

Dentist, shopping for phone and pond liner, sorting out possible work opportunities then got home at nearly 4 p.m. to find OH hadn't even emptied the dishwasher.

This sent motivation to zero but then cooked tea and while it was cooking put more washing out. So did achieve something. Would be so nice if he joined in for a change :(

Well I'm going in for my first day at the new job tomorrow so really nervous just hope I don't forget to get up in time.

Home on Thursday so I will get something done (not sure what yet, will wait to see how I feel).

Well clearing out the fridge is a great step forward - (at least for me it was as new life forms were evolving in the dark recesses) coming back to space to store fridge stuff was enough to keep me going for the rest of the day. My fridge was looking like that too, so i was really good and took everything out, cleaned all the shelves and drawers and put everything away neatly....not that you can tell now the kids have been in it lol

Have you tried the freeze spray as an alternative to deep heat? I can't use deep heat as the smell makes me gag, and I'd wondered about using the freeze spray instead? mind you icicles in places they shouldn't be would not be good. Ive looked at that spray a few times but never actually tried it. I tend to use the deep heat on my hips a lot as i have arthritis in them and some days the pain is unreal, i knwo i hot bath helps a little so i just went for the heat, i may just give it a try tho, thanks!

Off to the dentist soom so thoughts of clearing/cleaning are not high on the agenda.
oooh dentist, my biggest nightmare! I had to take my 4 year old the other day and even taking her was such hard work

This is an improvement for me, I used leave the dishes until there were no more to use :o but since I've cut down the amount of crockery available I'm forced to wash up more frequently. This is my biggest problem that im trying to stop, washing up is my biggest hate!.

Best of luck with interview :)

Well this morning i had good intentions but then my mate asked me out for lunch lol ive been good since i got back tho and ive sorted out 2 bin liners full of the girls clothes for the charity shop....so about 3 more bags to get rid of tho lol. Ive decided to swap rooms with the girls as my bedroom is bigger...but i need to sort them both out first so it might get done for xmas lol

Tomorrow i really am staying home to get more done! As ive also bought paint to do my kitchen and my sons room, so i really need to get my backside in gear before they start gathering dust!

Sorry about such a big post!:o

    Hi all,

Well, I am still managing to keep the kitchen looking half way decent and the washing is all done for another day. I have got rid of a little more paper work. Still tons to go though. Living room is tidy, but needs a good dusting and such things as taking curtains down are way past me.

If I can keep on top of what I have done, i.e., kitchen and lounge and washbasins/toilets and throw a few things away each day, even if only a few sheets of paper, then I think I can call it a victory. What do you think?

That'll be me too i can't take curtains etc down either. I hate dusting so i put that off as long as poss but it's getting desperate now. I had blinds put up downstairs .

I think you can call it a victory too. Anything that gets chucked given away makes a bit more space. I'm trying to do a bit each day too but i'm impatient and want it done yesterday then get disheartened because it doesn't look how i want it.

Know what you mean Craftygrqnny. But until Buddingblond started up this thread it was just to much and didn't seem worth doing anything. Now at least as long as I throw out more than comes in I know I am going in the right direction and just thinking about this thread gives me motivation.

I would just like to say well done to everyone for all their successes whether large or small.

please may i join in, my house is very messy too.
i suffer from severe depression, and a lack of motivation is a real issue, also live with my two sons who have severe ADHD, who make more mess than anyone could imagine, and will not do anything to tidy up, or clean.
my house is so bad that i've even considered moving to a smaller place once the boys have left home, so i would find it easier to keep clean.

Shucks - I am so so so embarrassed Rigs. Here was me confessing my messy sins and I honestly didnt realise what a life changing confession it would be. And if it is helping people along the way then I am really pleased!

There are now 93 named and shamed messies here - how fab is that?????

I have come home from work today totally knackered. OH is doing the dishes so I will go and have a wipe round later and hoover the floor. It is funny that I am now getting into the habit of doing wee jobs without thinking about them.

Re cutlery - I have another confession - this unmessying has transferred to my desk at work and I found 6 forks in my drawer!!!!:o It seems I am the fork nicker. I also found a collegues ruler, a mobile phone charger ( that I have already replaced) and a full box of cup a soups that I brought with me when I started 2 and a half years ago:eek:

    Go go Messys!!!
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Oh, BB, luv ya, girl! That's the sort of thing which happens in my life!!!

:D The colleague and his girlfriend came around at the time they said they would and were delighted to take away my microwave and goblet blender. And I was delighted to see them go! (Memo to messies everywhere, don't buy a stainless steel microwave, they show every mark). I was so happy that I skipped around the Shoebox and even cleaned a countertop in celebration.
