Well thank goodness you confessed your messy sins.
I am so pleased with what i got done today, not only did i do the last draw in the kitchen (but still got loads more to do in there) but i also decluttered a MASSIVE load of paper work from the drinks compartment of my wall unit (i don't really drink), it was so full the door wouldn't close properly, and also the paper work from my large 3 tier meshy thingy (don't know what it's called lol), they now look soooo bare.....very productive day today and i'm really pleased :A.

Glad it's not just me who has stuff for ebay in random corners cos it's so much hassle measuring weighing and describing them .
BB i agree with rigs you and jackie glasgow are my heroines you outed yourselves as messies but with a determination to be less so. You gave the the inspiration to get started on my house . It never seemed worth doing anything with just 10 mins to spare but you showed how much can actually be achieved in just 10 mins so a huge thank you to you and all the other messies.
Lots seemed to have been achieved by so many but i ground to a halt after about an hour cleaning. My oh did get the larder unit together so my job for tomorrow will b to put stuff away tidy in it.Cross Stitch Challenge Member Number 20

Well, I made the house look as presentable as possible. I still have boxes in the lounge but there isn't any "mess" per se. The Letting Agent is coming tomorrow for our quarterly inspection. I'm sure he must see much worse in other houses, but it's the first time I won't feel too ashamed of the state of the house
In my attempt to clean everything, I destroyed the carpet in the bedroomWell, not really destroyed, but the vacuum is so powerful that it lifted a corner of the carpet, and now it looks weird  I will have to ask my friend to see if he can do something, and in the mean time, I will try to hide it from the agent. If it can't be repaired, then of course DH and I will put a new carpet in.

Blimey!! so many messies now and I wonder how many more will join once the email has gone out :j
Well.. Day 1 back at work for me and so far, after work, I've done the dinner, washed up, put the dryer on (really would like to dry outside more but I hate the thought of if getting all wet while I'm at work and then having to take it all in soaking wet and re-washing it). There's another load to go in the WM tonight and I might peg it out in the morning a) if I have time and b) if the weather report is good! A quick swish round the bathroom after my bath and that's my lot for tonight apart from doing the lunches for tomorrow.
This is an improvement for me, I used leave the dishes until there were no more to usebut since I've cut down the amount of crockery available I'm forced to wash up more frequently.
In my house bedding gets changed once a fortnightand in hotter weather or if ill (fevers/sweats etc) as required but usually twice a week on average.
Managed to get rid of six carrier bags of dd's old but still good enough to wear clothing to a freecycler who collected this evening.
I'm still trying to re-home a round dining room table as it was too big and I've kindly been given a rectangular drop leaf one which takes up less room. At the moment the one I'm trying to re-home is in bits in my lounge - I refuse to put it in the spare room which is already a tip (that's my next project) but it's already doing my head in!! The fellow who was supposed to want it desperately two days ago has still not contacted me regarding collection!
Oh well... let's see what day 2 brings!
Well done to all you babysteppers and to those who aren't doing so great: it's just a matter of time before your mojo comes back.0 -

I have a wash out and made tea nice and early to get cleared up nice and early. That was the plan but then went out to close the front gate and got talking to my neighbour! I'm determined to do the dishes before I go to bed and not in the morning which is the norm! Will just finish this cup of tea first!!0

Hi all,
Well, I am still managing to keep the kitchen looking half way decent and the washing is all done for another day. I have got rid of a little more paper work. Still tons to go though. Living room is tidy, but needs a good dusting and such things as taking curtains down are way past me.
If I can keep on top of what I have done, i.e., kitchen and lounge and washbasins/toilets and throw a few things away each day, even if only a few sheets of paper, then I think I can call it a victory. What do you think?Second purse £101/100

Managed to get broken pushchair that DD2 asked me to dump months ago into the bin....both both bins out to-night as not sure whether it is recycling or rubbish to-morrow...our bins go out so seldom that I forget in betweenAll 3 loos and basins are now sparkling...need to do bath and showers to-morrow but all that bending and stretching can be a bit beyond me.
I also now have a sparkling, tidy car......cost me €80 but it looks almost like new inside and out...DS3 said that he would want about €5k to do it so reckon I got a bargain!
Good luck everybody
