Oh dear where has my motivation gone? Think I must have thrown it out with the last lot of clutter :(

I was in serious danger of spending the whole afternoon idling about on the internet, mainly looking at things I cant afford. Decided to have 15 minutes in each room trying to achieve as much as possible. Have done all 3 bedrooms and given up temporarily. Will have a break until DS comes in at 3.30 and start again.

That's half the battle isn't it YORKSHIRELASS, the motivation, i lost mine weekend before last as i was busy/working/familywedding/family visits/more working, and am still struggling with the motavation BUT i am pushing myself to get a little done. I think it's great you are giving 15 minutes to each room :T, i wish i could :o.

    Hi
Was looking at the wrong schedule this morn so had more time than I thought before work, so... I wiped down another kitchen work top and did the washing up. Put the dish cloths in to soak.

Have put washing up away now and started dinner. Washing m/c on.
Hoovered the bathroom floor should now wash it but bending makes me sick so not sure.

Wish I had a dish washer. My kitchen is so small could not fit one in, OH does the dinner stuff as I cook but I would love a dishwasher. Bet I would empty it, bet I would...

Bedroom..hm moved some old newspapers out for recycling but not sure I can deal with any more at the min.

Done well so far in that flaming room! Three binbags out, two ikea bags filled with carboot / charity shop stuff, games in a bag for school, rainy day box, and some broken/mismatched stuff sortd. Going back for round two in a mo'.

hi all, well after coming out from lurkdom the other day, I have started to acheive somethings.
I managed to throughly clean all the bench tops in the kitchen (they don't get done as often as I'd like)
I've managed to order the boxes from tesc* direct that i need, so i'll be picking them up tonight and I'll be getting clothes put away in them (better than on the bedroom floor)
I also managed to get three loads of washing on the line which is good as I usually use the dryer.
tonight i will empty one of the bin bags in my bedroom and find homes for all the items (i hope).
shall update tomrrow and hopefully I will have achieved more with my teeny weeny baby steps

Shucks - I am so so so embarrassed Rigs. Here was me confessing my messy sins and I honestly didnt realise what a life changing confession it would be. And if it is helping people along the way then I am really pleased!

There are now 93 named and shamed messies here - how fab is that?????

I have come home from work today totally knackered. OH is doing the dishes so I will go and have a wipe round later and hoover the floor. It is funny that I am now getting into the habit of doing wee jobs without thinking about them.

Re cutlery - I have another confession - this unmessying has transferred to my desk at work and I found 6 forks in my drawer!!!!:o It seems I am the fork nicker. I also found a collegues ruler, a mobile phone charger ( that I have already replaced) and a full box of cup a soups that I brought with me when I started 2 and a half years ago:eek:

    Go go Messys!!!

Ok, living room is much better but still not perfect.
Kitchen is tidy and pretty much clean (I even wiped the inside of the microwave)
A load of washing is in the machine.
everything in my bedroom is in a pile ready to be put away when I get home from yoga
Just about to run the hoover around quickly and then get changed and go.

It's not nearly as much as I wanted to get done but it's better than nothing. I think I set the bar a bit too high this time.

It will still be perfect, exactly as it is.

Why do we put more pressure on ourselves when things are already tough? I need to learn to let go.
Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...
