Sorry not posted on here before so apologies for barging in
but I cleared some filing this morning
This is stuff I can't chuck but I have a bankers box of folders in the wardrobe that weighs a ton to lift up and down. So doing the filing is never high on my list as I CBA with the box lifting
So paperwork accumulated on the bed, at night time gets put on the floor beside my bed and then back on the bed in the morning ad nauseum :rotfl: it's madness I tell you!
Anyway small little pile cleared, now waiting for the next accumulation
Need to declutter our bedroom and teach H not to use it as a floordrobe :mad:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Morning guys n gals...well my darling son decided to get me up at 5.30am this morning! wouldnt mind if he was little but he is 8!! So i am now shattered before the day even starts and really dont want to do anything! Even tho i need to...i also have to brave asda when my daughter goes to school at dinner time....so i might just clear my fridge and leave it at that lol see how i feel later.
I also ache like a good un this morning, think i must of slept funny....the wd40 i could def do with lol. I sprayed some deep heat this morning and i think my aim was off, cause im burning in places i really shouldnt be burning haha
Well clearing out the fridge is a great step forward - (at least for me it was as new life forms were evolving in the dark recesses) coming back to space to store fridge stuff was enough to keep me going for the rest of the day.
Have you tried the freeze spray as an alternative to deep heat? I can't use deep heat as the smell makes me gag, and I'd wondered about using the freeze spray instead? mind you icicles in places they shouldn't be would not be good.
Off to the dentist soom so thoughts of clearing/cleaning are not high on the agenda.0 -
Good grief! I go away for a day and a half and I have 3 pages to catch up on!
I cleaned the inside of my fridge! I hate that job.
I wiped down the kitchen worktop on one side (but not the other)
I loaded AND EMPTIED!! the dishwasher. Is anyone else guilty of just using the clean dishes out of the dishwasher and leaving the dirty ones on the counter?
I cleaned the bath but that was only because it was time for my once yearly bath (I'm a shower girl) I then had to clean the bath AGAIN because it was coated in oil and totally treacherous.
1 load of washing has been done.
I have an amazon sale to post at lunchtime which means one more item out of my wee flat too.
Small steps.
It's been a really tough weekend so thank you all for being great.

Welcome Bitsy Beans - I have a permanent need to clear some filing.
The shelf in the wardrobe will collapse if I put much more on there.
Have some on my desk, some in drawers, some in cupboards, wardrobe and airing cupboard. Where does it all come from
Have been decluttering the bedroom slowly over the past week. We have a chair in the corner which my DH uses as a wardrobe. Everytime he takes something off a hanger the hanger goes on there or the floor too.
I`m not perfect because I have magazines tucked at the side of the bed which need to be moved too.0 -
Been out already this morning, bought a grass cutter and two bargainous garden chairs which had a screw missing on each for £10 a pop! Delighted with those, and as OH is a joiner, we should have a spare screw or two somewhere to do the job! I am having a cuppa and then heading upstairs with the intention of not returning until DS1's new room is prepared for decorating. Wish me luck, its going to be a tough day! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

I have a mission for myself tonight.
I am out at yoga from half 8. My bf has been having a really rubbish time, quite awful, I haven't been doing great myself. Tomorrow night we are going to the cinema to see Thor (we've both been really looking forward to it) He hasn't been over to mine in a couple of weeks, we've both been really busy and it's been easier for me to go to his.
Chances are because of schedules and money and a whole lot of other rubbish we won't get to spend the night together but we will get the evening before heading out. I have said I'd like to make him dinner (even though I hate to cook) but more than anything else I want the flat to look warm, welcoming, clean and most importantly, calm.
I will have maximum 3 hours from when I get in to make my flat look like a sanctuary.
The jobs I have to do are as follows:-
Clean Bathroom (only sink and toilet *buy bleach*)
Put away clothes that are cluttering bedroom
clean the other worktop in kitchen
Take out ALL rubbish
clean kitchen floor
vacuum livingroom, hall and kitchen
re-arrange hall cupboard so that I can hide my ebay inventory in theremove all non-livingroom items out of the livingroom
Get rid of the easy to get rid of paperwork (manifestos for the election and such like) to weed it down a bit.
All of that will make a big dent but it's still won't look great.
This will be interesting...Can we pretend that aeroplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars, cause I could really use a wish right now...0 -

At last I have been able (and willing :rotfl:) to do something this morning
. The kids have gone back to school so I got on with the washing and ironing, I even hoovered right through
My OH has a day off today and went and decluttered DS's room, all his lego is now in a box and not all over the floor.
My bigest problem is, mostly since starting to sew/craft again, I can not throw anything as I see it as something else
I always said I would not become my mother (as much as I love her)but I am becomming a horder
I am trying to get into decluttering as I am having an op on my left hand next week (Tuesday) so will not be able to do much for a couple of weeks (I had my right hand done in Feb) so Im saving the bed changing till Sunday/Monday, I hope I can stay motivated
P.S. my fridge badly needs a clean out so must do it before my next shop :rotfl:Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

It's books with meWas an avid reader before I had children......now it's just a faint hope of having the time to read like I used to
You can see the side of my bed as soon as you walk up the stairs. Sandwiched between the bedside cabinet (which holds all said books in place
) is a box of my ebay stuff. Where the heck do you all keep your stuff you want to ebay but isn't the right season eg I have a couple of kids winter coats I want to sell. No room in wardrobe, or in kids wardrobes but if I put it in the loft I'll forget about it.........that's it I just need a bigger house :rotfl:
