You guys would have been SO proud of me yesterday.
I managed to use every single pot, pan, and bowl in my kitchen cupboard. :rotfl:
HWTHMBO had to put the dishwasher on 3 times to clean it all (it is a slimline one)...
All i did was make a roast dinner (lamb with mash, boiled, and roast spuds, leeks in ham, mushroom, and cheese sauce, carrots, roast parnisps, and a rather delicious gravy).
Whilst the oven was on I made cereal bars and apple muffins for everyone's packup lunches this week. I've also found a metal loaf tin (meat loaf calling), a cake tin (could really do with another one) and some ramekin dishes (what are they for?) that I never knew I had!! :j
I'm getting the urge to clear my kitchen cupboards out, especially as the boys (all 3) are asking if I can make cereal bars and muffins every week!!
HWTHMBO had managed to get the kitchen back to normal by this morning

ALSO after finding out our French exchange student had 'visitors' I've stripped all the beds and remade them, then damp dusted everything whilst HWTHMBO was vacuuming everything to within and inch of it's life. going to have to take the duvets to the cleaners and already spent £20 on medication for everyone.
Just need to visit the Nutri Centre and find the other stuff I used the last time we had these visitors...
hope everyone else has had a good day and is enjoying their half term.

Sigh...sitting here in bed opening...my Christmas cards. Feel guilty as heck, because I didn't send any-again. Christmas is such a draining time depression-wise...trying not to let the bad memories overwhelm the good. Because there have been good ones
Every year I think maybe I'll write the cards in August, but I should diary it this year.import this0 -

Don't worry about not sending xmas cards, I have not sent any for the last 2 yrs, I just can not justifiy spending money on a card for half my family I don't see just for them to bin them a few days later.
If any one says anything like ''oh we didn't get a card this yr from you'' I just tell them I would rather put the money towards a good charity.
Last yr was prostate cancer research because an uncle I was very close to died of it.
Most of the causes I try to give money to have some connection to my family ie. Marie Curie cancer care (they looked after my nan) , sure/home start because with out them I would never have coped when my ex walked out on me when my DD & DS were babies.
I lost a 12 yr old nephew New yrs eve 6 yrs ago so give to the Rosie maternity special care unit in Camb's where he was born 3 months prem.
All of my family are struggling so have said they will do it too
Even if you can give a fiver it all ads up for them and family understand so will good friends and the rest can think what they like :rotfl:
I think every year we are pushed into being PERFECT at xmas time and even Valentine but it's all for the shops profit.Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Happy Valentines Day
Kitty how are you today?
I am half way through the laundry and I am going to make a determined effort to get it all done today.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Hugs Laurel - you're not the only one who "fails" to send Christmas cards!
Hope you are ok Kitty, please post and let us know!
I need to tackle the washing mountain as well Rummer, I'll get a load in now I think. Breadmaker is on, fish defrosting to make fishcakes later (I managed to squeeze the SC meals in the freezer!) and I might go and have a quick charity shop trawl in a bit.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Half term doesn't help!0 -
I have been a bit good so far today
Only because I only have DS here and he's PC geeking in his room and little dog is curled up asleep (hard life being a pampered dog :rotfl:)
DD and pup are at DD's BF's till Thursday so make use of the peace
I have done 2 loads of washing, striped and remade my bed and even hand washed some fabric I want to make a bag with, it was a Laura Ashley curtain my cousin gave meI say was as it's in half now lol.
Just hooved living room, I wasn't going to do it today as I will be doing some sewing later and there will be thread all over the floor but I moved the dogs toy box (a small crewed cardboard box) and it was full of de-gutted teddies and furas I have a dark laminated floor it looks terrible and is always covered in fluff and bits
I got a doc apointment later as Im still feeling low and need some more happy pills
Kittyhow are you today? feeling ok I hope

Just realised I am nearly out of anti d''s... so thanks for being depressed some of you lot and reminding me
They dont work these ones, but I am struggling to get past the firewall that is my doctors secretaries to make an appointment to get ones that do. Its a busy london surgery so they have a thingy for weeding out timewasters, I managed to speak to a doctor for 12 seconds last time (my phone has the time on it lol)
