hiya everyone im ok

burnt myself making valentines day spongebob squarepants themed lunch for ds ..... cat is right .. this stuffs dangerous!!

thanks fannyadams and everyone else nah cat i didnt cry... although i didnt go to bed til 5am .. was too scared to go in there ... im paranoid about being trapped in things now though .. so stupid

my carpet hasnt bleached !!!! yay

anyways, today ive done dishes and i went shopping and cooked dinner for myself and ds, we had cheeseburger, curly fries, onion rings and coleslaw and watched spongebob all day ...

ive only come online to delete someone off facebook lol, but i dont think theres any chances of me getting off here now, ds is watching mickey, doesnt seem bothered by me on laptop so i guess ill just stay online

the cats letting off the most rank farts !! honestly ... dont know whats wrong with him

also , stupid charity shop rung me to say they couldnt collect!! how am i supposed to get rid of all that stuff :eek: hoping step dad can give me a lift, but still ill have to wait a while

got a friend coming over on thursday, really need to clean this place, her house is so tidy and really cute .. im out all day at mums tommorow as its my birthday so i dont see how im gonna get it clean

eta talking of Xmas cards - I've just realised mine are still up on the wall!!

My daughter still has her Christmas tree up in her bedroom. She said she was going to keep it up to save putting it up next year and it is still there. It is a good job it is only small.

To be fair, DD likes them left up (it's just one string of white lights around the porch) until her birthday, so by that reckoning they're only a week overdue.

Let's hope my neighbours see it that way...:o

Another day almost over...feels like nothing done.

Except that I was getting to the two boxes of papers stage, and they've all gone. Some of them filed into a nice shiny new folder marked TAX, because though I did thousands of them for other people in my distant youth, this is the first year I'll ever have to complete a tax return of my own (tutoring income). I'm actually quite excited about it-I never thought I'd be self-employed, even on so small a scale.

If the CS wont collect, forget them and put the lot on Freecycle/Freegle. You could even put it on Ebay as a job lot starting at 99p. (The advantage of Ebay is that you tend to get people who are looking for what you're getting rid of, rather than greedy timewasters who will ask for anything as long as it's free and then mess you about.)

As a job lot, you'll probably end up giving/selling it to car booters, but it's a mutual favour because it gets it out of your hair. Personally, once I've done some clearing, I need that payoff...fast...to keep motivated.

Oh Kitty I hope you are ok.....

I am now in a splint and am doing my exercises.....my wrist feels very wierd and dont seem to be able to do a lot with it but Im sure the exercises will help. Thank you all so much for putting up with my moaning the last couple of weeks and you will all be glad to know that Im feeling so much better and am even going to give work a go tomorrow!! Hopefu;;y that is an end to my moaning!!

I dodged the house altogether and went for a walk - then came home and made fish cakes and they are a triumph... really, really nice with a crispy salad.

does anyone know how to poach a duck egg .... i want an answer cos im hungry

my friend gave me a beautifully coloured egg from her duck, i wanted to keep it but id prob break it, so im gonna eat it

but how the hell do i cook it?

They cook just like a hen's egg Kitty, but usually slightly larger so give it an extra minute or so.

ETA if it's not larger than a hen's egg don't add any extra time, just poach for the usual time.
