My home is a mess

*insane rambling brought on by big thinking*
Right, Ok.
So I was looking forward to this week SO much
week off
tidy room
tidy shed
tidy conservatory.
Make my life so much better.
really it would be
I could find things
I would have clothes in the wardrobe
I would sleep better
I wouldn't waste money
I could have space to work space for for animals
nice furniture
cleanness.
I start my back to my old MSE ways, saving money being organised about bills.
It could honestly change my life, change myself and things could be better. I could start my own business, finish studying, I could have the order I long for.
I know there will be people reading this going er no Buffy you'd be just the same but tidier.
You see the WORST bit of it is yes I know that is a possibility but I also know - when I lived alone, when I lived at uni, when I first discovered fly lady when we first moved here, when I didn't have so many pets I KNOW I WAS MORE TIDY AND ORGANISED and happier.
I KNOW THAT.
I would have space for me. without the mess.
I need to do this. I want peace. and space.
I will drag myself out of this mess. I will.

Afternoon messies.
Bless you, Buffy, having typed all that, GO AND START! :T As you say, you've done it before, and you want to live that way again, so get going. It may take a lot of mental effort on your part, but once you get really stuck in, you'll feel so much better about the situation, and yourself. YOU CAN DO IT! So, try and start with something that is manageable, like throwing a load of washing in the WM, or doing the ironing, or putting stuff that needs sorting into bags/boxes. Don't stop to sort it for now - just put it aside, so that it can be done later, but you'll have more space and less obvious mess.
Welcome, stokelady. The problem often is that, when the place is a real tip, and you start to clear up, things often actually look worse for a while before they get better. don't try and sort AND tidy at the same time, or you will get distracted. Make your priority clearing space.
I'm glad the cat's ok now, jps - but probably not nearly so pleased as you are! :rotfl:
Here, I've made some bread, and done a load of washing. Now have to do some admin, including phone calls.0 -

Buffy hugs - get yourself to bed with a jug of water/lemon juice/whatever fluids appeal to you, take some paracetamol (if you take them) and have a good sleep. If it's anything like the bug I had, sleep is the best thing for it! Isn't it just typical that we get ill for half term? I had bigger plans but had to reset them when I went down with a bug on the last day of school. I'm now just enjoying a rest for this week, big expectations are out of the window!
Stokelady, there's always another day! Enjoy the cinema!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

:rotfl::rotfl: Don't we just feel so guilty for taking them to the vet?
Poor moggie - she did say some very unladylike things at the time but there again, when the vet's furtling around where the sun doesn't shine, who can blame her?! :rotfl:
Amazingly enough she's forgiven me already but I don't think it will be easy to get her back in that cat carrier in a hurry!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Hey Messies
I don't know why I post, never any demessying to report:rotfl:Plumber didn't turn up yesterday, got a phone call this morning saying he thought he remembered making arrangements but forgot to write it down, and could I call to rearrange? I will when I CBA! Didn't sleep last night, went to CPN at 11am, yawned expansively all the way through - he said it would be REALLY good if I could force myself to stay up for the rest of the day.....I tried, Messies, really I did....:o
Anyway I woke up at half past 5 still yawning....had half a plan to go to a friend's tonight but too tired.....pfft.....
get well soon Buffyxx And welcome stokelady, cinema sounds much better than decluttering
Might try and clear a bit of my bed/bedroom later. Had a little spider on the ceiling last night though, sprayed some stuff on it and now it's gone, probably fallen down dead somewhere - and even though it's no doubt deceased I don't want to find it
DDs are boozing with friends tonight, vodka jelly shots in the fridge, apparently I will be allowed to try ONEGot DS's parents' night tomorrow, he says he's messed up a bit and all the appts are ages apart so I think I'll be there a long time. If anyone dares mention his attendance I think I'll walk out.
And washing machine coming at 8am Friday:eek:
and last but definitely not least....................
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KITTY!!!!:bdaycake:0 -
Jps, DD1 was telling me on the phone that she has to take her cat to the vet to have his claws cut. She was whispering, just in case he heard and sulked! :rotfl: At least, our cat can't hear anything anymore!
Cat, reports of de-messying aren't compulsory, I don't think.Such a shame you can't sleep and are so tired. As far as the parents' evening goes, hopefully they'll be sensitive about attendance.
