Great news all round then, jacci. All the best for tomorrow.
  • Hi Messies!
FA 1 (my hash key doesn`t work, excuse the omission!) - I guessed the HWTHMBO, probably because I recently listened to a `Rumpole of the Bailey` story, he calls his Mrs. She WMBO. I do like your version!
Jaxx & Loudmouth - welcome, LurkyMessies! Do join in here, the more the merrier!
Bearcub - That beef thing WAS nice. There was still a good bit left, and OH requested `same again` for tonight! (LAST ONE _Phew!) I nipped out to get him some more yorkies though.
JPS - (Hugs) - hope you feel better soon.
YL - This is the norm for me, to wipe up any spillage & find a clean patch. Especially in the kitchen. And if anything has to be pulled out of its place then there`s always a need to SCRAPE rather than wipe...

Cat - (I saved you till last because I want to get this right) Firstly, (((HUGS))), and it`s great to have you posting again. Please don`t feel you have to explain stuff, as any of us who have had in-laws/out-laws & ex`s can either remember or sadly imagine the hassle oe `complications` you`ve been through.
Just concentrate on yourself, and your immediate loved ones now. Your DS`s attendance record may worry you, but be positive, concentrate on spending a bit of quality time with him while he`s off school. His asthma may be part stress related, and surely your fatigue feelings are too. The last thing you need is to beat yourself up about Messyness! Remember the Other Mantra here - BABY STEPS!
And well done you, I`m sure those shoes needed a good home!!!

I went out shopping today...MY `excuse` was that the house would be quieter for OH to sleep, and I needed to look for a birthday pressie, less than a week to find one... I found NO inspiration at all...but I did find 2 nice whoopsied minted lamb shoulder joints, got DGD a couple of nice outfits (sale items) in P`mark, after a good long rummage and then - fatal - went into Home Bargains...
Bought several `useful` things that I probably don`t really need - AND, on a whim, I bought a lovely thick padded squishy dog-bed for my old Daftie-dog.
(Posting now in case I get timed out)
  • did some dishes today :) thats it lol :/

    Best of luck Jacci!
    import this
  • Jacci - I`m so glad your op can go ahead, get it over with asap. When I had my hand op a couple of years ago I`d been waiting ages, then got a `cancellation` appointment. Such a releif to get sometrhing like this over & done with, rather than hanging on waiting. I`ll be thinking of you, good luck. And take it easy after, there`s only SO much you can do one-handed!

I have to tell you all - my `impulse buy` in Home Bargains today is giving great satisfaction. My dear old Daftie-dog got straight in it and has hardly moved since. She wouldn`t get off it to go for her food, even DGD tried coaxing her. We all shouted "bikkits" (she`s deaf, but she does like that word.) DGD even pretended she was going to eat some `bikkits`, but Daftie-dog didn`t budge, she was way too comfy! Then DGD put the dish right at the edge of the bed, where Daftie-dogs nose was just near enough.... she craned her neck and started scoffing without getting up. And we all went `aaah`. Then DS let the cat in, she was scratching at the back door, obviously tired of persecuting small rodents in the garden.
The cat was just about to settle by the fire when Daftie crunched a `bikkit`, puss looked around and then FROZE - and GLARED.
I cannot describe to you that look of - what? Envy? Disgust? Puss went closer, Daftie gave a happy sigh & snuggled down again. Puss sat and GLARED at her for a good ten minutes. DGD fed her, and then she came back and glared again briefly, then went to the door to go back out. Presumably to take her pique out on the small rodents out there. I`ve since had to TIP Daftie-dog out of her bed to go out for her wee, then she came in and snuggled down again. Puss has since come back inside, ignored DS`s attempts to get her on her own nice fluffy bed, and is lying on the rug Sphinx-like still doing a half-asleep glare at what she can`t have! I appear to have one VERY happy old Daftie-dog and one rather miffed Puss! Daftie hasn`t even bothered to `habit-scratch`, and Puss hasn`t hassled to be fed.

Hugs to Cat ,Yorkshire Lass, Soupdragon and anyone who needs one.

Iv scrubbed the kitchen.folded up the mountain of clean washing and sorted into piles, washed more washing and general tidy.
Now for the good news , we have a 16week old collie coming to live with us tomorrow!!. Cant wait and the best bit is he is all ours. Cats will not be pleased.
Emm you had me in stiches over the dog and her bed. Our cats are like that with each other. One gets on my knee and Iv three others giving daggers. I wake up every morning with at least one in the bed and one balanced on my chest. But you know what I love it and they are the best hot water bottles.
Our house is like a tent with curtains on all doors god knows what the man bringing the dog will think.
  • Snookey - lovely news about your collie-dog. I`m so chuffed for you, AND for the dog, finding a loving home. Actually, I get more delighted for folks having a new canine addition to the family than an actual baby. I am so glad for you, Snookey. Enjoy, the cats will adjust!

Thanks Emm. The cats will be miffed for a time and probs confused as this is a young bo, bouncy and fast not like poor Oscar who just plodded. Im the same over people getting a new dog. I like babies but I prefer animals.
Well Im off to bed soon having done another load of washing and feeding the cats for the 5th time today.
