I am back.
I don't know if you missed me! but thank you for your good luck wishes re the hell that was ofsted and hell it was. Easily the worst week of my professional life, still no one has cancer and no one died so perspective is always handy. I wish I had that on Tuesday when I scared the life out of my friends by texting them that I couldn't cope. In hindsight it did sound slightly like I was going to top myself and I obviously DID NOT mean that at all, it is just a (!!!!!!, picky stupidly run badly managed) job but I did I am ashamed to say buy in to and give it far too much importance in my life. I barely ate or slept - cos that really helps your mental state and by Friday was much like a zombie!

Morning all - I`m just going to sort out OH`s snappins for tonight, then off to work soon. Feeling quite positive now as weekend shifts are usually a bit less hectic, and after today I have a week off so just MIGHT get the house tidy-ish in that time!
Have a good day Messies. x0 -
Laurel - it sounds as though you have achieved a great deal - clay soil is very hard work as I well know, so well done to you
YL - hope the scan results are positive - will keep fingers crossed for you
Cat - take care of yourself and DS
Huge hugs to everyone...
Appointment this p.m. at local emergency clinic as symptoms are still there, so don't think it's a bug so need to check it out as I don't want to land up hospitalised again
No tidying will be done, but on a positive note, kitten one is now friendly, purring and last night rolled over for a tummy rub before her dinner. Kitten two is now spitting less too :T
Have a good day all...0 -
Afternoon Messies.
Hope the hospital can sort you out quickly, SD. Whatever it is, it sounds nasty. Well done with the kitties.
Good to hear you have a week off soon, Emms.
Pleased all went as well as poss, Buffy, and that you're regaining your sanity. Well done for getting everything back into perspective. :T
My niece and younger nephew are coming to visit mum and staying overnight. I've not seen them for nearly 20 years. :eek:0 -
HI all
Cleaning the kitchen during Poirot ad breaks. Just have floor left to do now!0 -
Well done to all who have got things done this weekend-especially if it was creative rather than tidying.;)
Hope it's nothing serious SD, and I hope you give that cold the heave-ho, Jacci. If you can stand it, eating a raw onion is supposed to be a great cure in the early stages...
Today has been bitty, and not much done at home. A couple of washes and an attack on some things that only need putting away once. I've been out to visit a potential private tuition client and, at a bulk discount, ended up taking on both kids and two nephews(). There go my Sunday afternoons for the next few months! Then a late lunch at mum and dad's...and I'm just home.
I was so dispirited by my lack of progress last night that I got out the saw and made another shelf for the spice cupboard....using a piece of white melamine from a wardrobe left here when I moved in, and some spare shelf pegs from...no idea, but there they were in the oddments box. Sometimes it's good to be a hoarder...:D Anyway, we picked up the last box/caddy thing on the way to pick DD up from work last night, so that's a job finished :T. Except for the fact that now the spices/baking/icing stuff is organised, there's no room in that cupboard for the first aid basket....it doesn't end, does it??:rotfl:
I'm looking at the clock and wondering whether I could do a (small) ceiling by bedtime....I really CBA, but I know I'll feel so much less stressed if I can just make a start. One more weekend to half term...surely I can catch up then??import this0 -
I did nothing on my list.
Nothing what so ever.
I went shopping dropped in a couple of friends, had lunch with my Mum and had a long nap in the after noon.
oops!

YL thinking of you re scan results and hi to everyone else.
This weekend has just got better and better, cold isnt too bad,,taking echinacea, vit c and zinc and as much first defence as my nose will take. However, not only have I got op on Weds,my 20 yr old son has now got to have an op too....prob quite soon as his cheek bone got broken twice last night as he tried to stop a fight...all this and not smoking.....I know in the scheme of things its all not terribly serious but I feel carp and just want to have a good old cry...needless to say the house is messier than ever.
Take care all.0
