Iv hoovered the front room ,made our bed ,mopped our bedroom, cleaned out the waste trap in the shower and put another wash in. Im going top sort the clothes out tomorrow and clean dd room.
Im going to try and keep on top of things as Im letting things slip and oh is having a dip so no help.
Oh before I forget I cleaned the back room and hoovered it.
    My confession over .
The amount of cat and human hair Iv cleaned up today could be knitted into a jumper. Its no wounder I go through so many hoovers .

OK-plan of action for tomorrow-some possible easy victories...

Fix trellis (already painted) over non-matching brickwork left by plumber in...ummm...August.

Sew red curtains (already ironed and hems altered) together and hang.

Must must MUST, unless weather is utterly HORRIBLE, plant AT LEAST ONE tree...

Been a busy week so havent been on here much and have just been keeping my head above water housework wise. Need to crack on today. Its beautiful and sunny outside but very frosty. First load of washing is waiting to go out and I need to change the kids beds.

I feel your pain Laurel, our garden is a mess too. You have worked so hard and achieved so much already though. Maybe you are just at that stage where things look worse than when you started and it will turn a corner soon. I am desperately trying to get DS2s bedroom decluttered so I can decorate it and so far have just turned it into a bomb site. I need to make some progress with it this weekend.

Right, off to get dressed and make a start. Everyone else is in bed so will get them up and try and get them helping.

Have just played 3 games of pool with DS on a teeny weeny table lol - I won - never hurts them if they loose occasionally :]

2 loads of washing done, 1 in the dryer and 1 on the airer

Going up stairs now to change the beds

    Morning messies!

Hugs Laurel, I too have a mammoth garden task for half term and Easter. Not to mention the bedroom decorating (it is STILL half painted!) and the spare room carp clearance...

    Well, today I have:

    done the washing up
    put the breadmaker on
    put the slow cooker on
put a load of washing on
fed the garden birds (will do the Big Garden Birdwatch count later)
    had breakfast
cleaned and dusted my dining room table/laptop area.

    I shall now....

    clean out the cat tray
    empty the bins
    light the fire
    hoover around the middle bits

I think that's quite enough for today so the rest of the day will be playing with my crochet and patchwork plans, and a visit from Mum!

    Hosp visit tomorrow.

Hope all fellow messies are well and doing okay!

I've fell off the messie wagon, sorry ladies... although in my defence I would like to have the impending French Exchange Student's visit (this Wednesday!) taken into consideration...

Boys out at Kidsize event this morning so I took advantage of the 2 1/2 hours peace and moved everything about...

I've managed to fill the boy's side of the shed with their carp and the stuff I'm supposed to be eBaying, and there's now space in the [STRIKE]dumping ground[/STRIKE] conservatory to put the boxes of clothes that I need to keep for when they get bigger. (loft is also FULL of carp). As long as we keep the curtains closed in the office, remember to go in and out of the front door, and we don't get the bikes out the shed we'll be OK.

HWTHMBO has fitted the lock to the bathroom door and is currently cleaning in there too  if the smell is anything to go by I think i'll have to go out and buy more cream cleaner so he can clean the kitchen :rotfl:

Just have to change the sheets on all the beds (2 sets of bunks and our double) and vacuum the house from top to bottom and make pizzas and something for tea and I'm done. Luckily DS#2 likes vacuuming.

We're off out to the forest for the FREE Stargazing lesson tonight.

    Have a good day everyone.

PS - anyone seen my not so evil twin?

  • Oh help me, I need a hug, or a bit of moral support, or preferably both.

Managed to persuade DS1 to go out with his Dad so I am trying to crack on with his bedroom while he is out. Its really upsetting me though. I have dug everything out of his built in cupboard and there are loads of memories there from when he was well and happy and just a normal kid. Just been looking through some old school books and I cant believe how well he could write and spell. I cant even bring myself to look at the photos :(.

We are in the middle of a very difficult time with all his medical stuff and maybe this just isnt a good time to be doing this. I found myself sitting in the middle of a pile of his things and being very close to tears so have come downstairs. I needed to tell someone so hope you dont mind.

OK, big deep breath. I want to make his bedroom nice for him so its got to be done.
