Frugal, congrats on the new job. It sounds as if it's picking you you up, and I'm glad to hear that the legal 'thing' is workable. Go get 'em, girl!0

Well done on the job Fru!:T:T
I'm shattered - went into town, not a lot left in the Boots sale but got some bits of make up, a book called "Lovely Things to Make for Girls of Slender Means" which will be nice to read if nothing else.....:D...a Home Diary, not that I needed another diary but it has tips and recipes in it so had to be bought, Xmas cards, and a photo frame which will do for a present if we don't decide to keep itGot a much needed new bag at Pr*mark, then went to Debs to get my Touche Eclat. The woman seemed to put loads on me, but really - I didn't notice THAT much difference. Still bought it though, and I suppose nothing works miracles!:o
Came home, rushed about making various dinners, except mine funnily enough!
Now got to go and take another load of washing to DS's dad's house, and go back later and pick it up. No rest for the wicked:p
Big hugs to everyone xxx
eta hope you had a nice time at your friend's kitty0 -

Well done fr treating yourself, Cat. Does tend to imporve an otherwise dark and dreary day, doesn't it?
Waited ages for someone to come and pick up some craft mags. She was going to come in for a cuppa, and tell me about a new craft group starting in this area, but was seriously delayed, and couldn't stay. I'd not put the washing machine on, because I thought she was stopping. Still, the washing's now done, and hanging up in the spare room. Have finally finished the churches newsletter, (after someone pointed out something important I'd omitted) just need to email it to everyone. Put the clean towels away before dinner, and have done the ironing. :j Tomorrow's aims are to finish 3 half-made birthday cards (so I can put the tool box and materials away), and copy some family tree photos. How many weeks have I been intending to do those? Ho hum!

Real CBA evening after very busy day at work. Was planning to empty TD but watched Masterchef from last night and played angry birds instead
Just beginning to sink in that I need to start job hunting yet again as contracts finish in March  and very little sign of further work in my area. Gutted because I love my job.
Kittens are still here - Cats protection no longer take in cats locally, so have e-mailed RSPCA for advice. As they are feral I suspect if they do take them they will be pts as rehoming would be very difficult:( so this is not making me feel great either.
January seems to be an awful month for us messies - hugs to everyone and hope that light appears at the end of the tunnel for all of us very soon.
Mess 'A state of embarrassing confusion' (dictionary.com) I definitely agree about the confusion but I am not in the least embarassed
Take care everyone0 -
Hello Ladies
Sorry I was MIA for so long. Been under the weather and then someone was so spectacularly mean to me yesterday that I spent the whole night in tears.
Anyway I have had a good vent, a long nap and lots of cuddles from my OH so I am back on form. Thank you so much for the kind thoughts on here, it is so touching that you all care
Suffice to say the house is less than its shiny best although it is habitable. I really need to get on top of the laundry but I won't have the machines running when I am not it the house and as I have been so busy recently I am hardly in at a time reasonable enough to have them running.
I have however been tackling the garden (pics on hmpage). Those of you who have low moods get yourself outside and into the garden. The library, garden and a good bath are the three things I turn to when things are bad.
There are so many of you having a tough time at the moment, remember you are always welcome to vent on here and we will listen, take care.

I like your thinking, SP! Great shame about your job. I imagine jobs in Cornwall are as rare as those on the Isle of Wight.0
