    Ironing still being ignored

YL - your conversation with your DH made me laugh

Rummer - I'm jealous - I need a skip here at the moment!!

Cat - you did the right thing, sometimes you have to stand back and say NO - you have more important things to see to at the mo - hugs

I'm away to do some ironing, can't ignore it anymore! Trouble is there's nothing on TV to watch and I CBA to put a DVD on lol

    Helen x

PS - Soupdragon - well done on taking in the cats - we all know you'll keep them forever now :p

Cat - text your friend and thank him for being so understanding. It might be the gentle reminder he needs to realise that you weren't being awkward and you really can't deal with his problems on top of your own just now. At the very least, it might break the "things were weird last time we communicated"-ice before it has chance to grow into an issue that neither of you are able to address on top of everything else.

YL - if it wasn't for the mention of kids, I'd be worrying that I had a split personality and you were my alter ego. Certainly sounds like we've got the same fella although mine was tucked up in bed at that time this morning so no bigamy risk! He's not getting the "the bathroom really needs cleaning" hints. Even when I say it following his "I'm bored at home all day. What am I supposed to do while you're at work all day" moans. At least he has started doing the washing up now though ;-)

Cat, you have so much of your own to take care of, you can't take on other people's problem's, too. One head to sort out at a time is more than enough!

SD, I guess you're yet someone else who'd set up an animal sanctuary of you could. There are so many of us!

Kitty, you've received your new bins already? I assume that you didn't get the instructions a couple of weeks ago, but they're all on the council website. Basically, it seems as if we can recycle almost anything apart from polystyrene, clothes and cat litter! :rotfl:

Tried to get my cards finished, but haven't completed one of them. Had some lovely blue flowers that I was going to use to decorate one, but they wouldn't stick! Couldn't find anything to match anything else for the other two without going out into the unheated conservatory, so they'll have to wait until tomorrow - again. I just know what'll happen - I'll re-find some more of my many pretty papers, and start making something totally different. Still, as long as I've done a decent job on one by Sunday, it'll all be fine. I hope.

No, the recycling goes into a large wheelie bin, the food into the green bins - larger one for outside, the small one for the kitchen. didn't think we were getting bags - or are you not having a wheelie bin for some reason? We won't be using the small food bin,as we have one of our own that matches the kitchen. :)

yeh we got no wheelie bin  so the food goes in the recycling bags, and the recycling also goes in the recycling bags??? ... and nappies and cat litter goes in black bags??

gaaah! bloody council ... lol :)

Er, no. I think, but I may be wrong, that food goes into one of your own carrier bags in the larger green lockable bin, as has been done before, and recycling goes into the recycling bags. Other rubbish - that can't be recycled - goes into your own black bin bags. Maybe.
