So sorry ladies, not having a good time of things so I haven't read a word of the thread for the last couple of days. Hope you are all well, hugs if you need them.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!
  • Rummer - so sorry to hear things are not so good. Look after yourself and have a huge cyber hug xxx Hope things start to look up very soon.

Work all day so have done not a lot. Fed kittens (still no contact from cats protection)

Did manage to stuff washing in the machine, but only because the basket was right in front of the machine :o:o

Love the pic kitten (all you need is a thought bubble above the cat) - mess??? all I see is a tasteful arrangement a la Tracy Emmin ;) I think she influences my decorating style.

Would love to meet up, but Sheffield from Cornwall is a bit of a trek, and as I don't know whether I'll be in work or not...... still never say never!

Just debating whether to tidy the desk or continue to surf the net....... yup you guessed, the desk is still untidy.

    Hi all

Not caught up on posts and thanks cos I have had a crappy day and am in a CBA sort of mood. Hugs to all and will catch up properly tomm. Xx
    Aims for 2014
Drink a glass of water a day, Empty handbag at least once a week, Continue "not putting things off" and tackle things head on, Treasure people around me, Stay healthy and well away from hospitals, Continue to declutter/decorate house slowly and not get stressed because I can't do everything at once. :D
  • Hi all! Hugs to all those having tough times.
Not very much un-messing been happening here today. At work til about 2ish and CBA since I have been home (not unusual!). I blame it on a lack of nicotine...i gave up smoking (again...ahem) on 1st of Jan. Typical..had a really busy day yesterday...2 extra hours at work due to lovely colleague not discussing change of hours with me...go home...cook dinner...Zumba class...eek!...so funny...i have absolutely no co-ordination...home...get called out to faulty alarm at work...home again...and then the tidy gene fired up! (one of those rare moments when you're washing the pots and then decide to clean everything in sight) Had to give up as needed to shower and wash hair. Ah it was a nice moment while it lasted....

  • Hello Messies. I`ve not been able to read here for last 3 days - long hours and barely keeping up at home, BUT - Fair Do`s, place not as badly trashed in my absence as usual. Day off today, slept till mid-day, back in again for next 2 days...OH still on nights, won`t see him till Friday!!! He`ll have cold snappins left in fridge tomorrow & Thursday. So told him to make the most of the hot brisket & veg in tonight`s food flask!
We DO get to have a long weekend off together though, after this phase, and at least there`s been one or other of us here to keep refilling he birdfeeders in this frosty weather, and company for Daftie-dog.
Dratted Computer was still playing up since my last post Dratting the Dratted Thing, but DS has been fiddling with it all day and now it seems cured, but it`ll take me awhile to get used to new layout.
I will catch up in a few days if it`s still ok.

Meanwhile - Welcome Sashoo - and any other new folks I may have missed.
BIG (((HUGS))) Laurel, and Rummer & anyone else who needs them. You are all wonderful, you dear Messies here. I`ve really missed you all, not being able to keep up here lately with work & computer troubles. (I`m sure it would cheer you up and give a chuckle if I typed some of the names I`ve called it recently - but not allowed on this site! At one point Daftie-dog must have picked up the vibes and thought she was in the dog-house!)
Kipping on sofa tonight, up at 6 am. Only been up 10 hours but nearly asleep now, logs crackling on fire very soothing sound.

    Goodnight all, God Bless.
    Emm xxx

Poor Rummer - hugs to you.

There do seem to be a lot of people (and not just on here) feeling down, pressure, stress etc, and this time of year really doesn't help. Hugs to you all! I count myself very fortunate that the weather and short days don't really get to me, although the cat yowling at silly o'clock (she's elderly, totally deaf and definitely senile) in the morning is really messing with my sleep pattern. Thought I'd done with all that once my kids grew out of babyhood!

Have now sorted washing for tomorrow, finally finished the last letter for posting tomorrow, covered a book YD gave me for Christmas with clear plastic (she printed and bound a series of short stories I'd written :)). On the not-so-good side, I've got a small pile of craft stuff on the spare room floor, ready for me to make some cards, hopefully tomorrow, when I've done the stables, and visited one of the local residential homes. Time for bed, I think, hoping that the cat won't wake me tonight.

Well did what I said I would do today...4 bits of ironing( out of about 400!), 1 load of washing and cleaned some paintwork in the lounge...that is something I wouldnt normally do but we have had laminate laid(looks fab) and even by my messy standards there is a lot of dust around!
On my trying to get a balance in my life watched Holby and Masterchef and thoroughly enjoyed both!! My New Years Resolution is all work and no play deffo makes Jacci an unhappy girl so Im aiming to do the boring followed by the enjoyable!!

Big hugs to those who need them and glad to hear the news is better Cat.

    Nite Nite...
