Thanks for the support, all x

Messy, I'm really glad you had a good first day :)

Kitty-that photo does make me laugh. I remember when my niece left her birds with us for Christmas...I thought my ageing, tubby and not-very-bright cat wouldn't be able to find his way up to the cage. 15 seconds, approximately....I ended up screwing a hanging basket hook into a ceiling joist to keep the cage out of his reach.

    Morning all

Hugs if you want them [] []

Rummer - whats up chick - not like you to be down, hope you feel better very soon

Loved the photo - looks just like my coffee table

Done the school run and then hit Boots sale, got some lovely bits [no idea who for!!] Bought myself a biscuit barrel - wanted 1 for ages but I'm tight and not paying £12, got it in the sale for £3 and its got biscuits in it - thats breakfast sorted for this morning hehe

I must clear up the Kitchen now, its very very cluttered, had to do lunch boxes in a 6" square bit of worktop cos thats all there was, need coffee - had none yet. Then I'm sorting out the DR AGAIN - sick of doing it as its the dump ground on a daily basis for everyone to put their carp - they'll get a shock when they go to bed and all this stuff from the DR is going on their beds hehe

    Helen x

PS Cat - how did you get on at the hosp, Fru are you feeling better

omg - how busy has this thread gotten?

'fraid I've really just skimmed through the last 4 or 5 pages but I know several folks are in need of good wishes and newbies need welcomes. just can't keep pace with names & needs!

I had a real domestic goddess day yesterday. Put chicken in SC and load in WM before work. Came home, hung out 1st wash load and put 2nd in WM, made dinner, stripped rest of chicken, emptied bins did the washing up, hung out 2nd wash load and then finally sat down to relax. Avoided going into the bathroom because that Desperately needs cleaning and I was feeling to pleased with how much I'd done to have it spoiled by what still needs doing!

Monday night I noticed that OH had tidied up a wee bit around the house. It was only then that it dawned on me that we had a surveyor come round on Monday. Because I didn't book the appointment, it didn't even occur to me to try to straighten the place out a bit! Thankfully, it appears that it did cross OH's mind. I think we can get away with it atm because of the building work that is going on but the truth is that is how I'd live regardless of renovations!

    Afternoon Messies.

Such mizzly weather here today, and I had sad news about a dear friend.

Sorted the washing, but OH has taken all the towels to the laundrette, so at least I've not got those to find drying space for. (No, we don't have a drier, nor space for one.) the only thing is, he's taken the laundry liquid with him, so I can't wash anything in the machine until he gets home. Hmm. Have cleaned the kitchen worktops and swpet the kitchen floor. I suppose it's about time I changed out of the stable gear.

Oh Cat - one thing I would say is at least your DS changed his mind about his dad when he did and not years later. My friend hadn't seen her dad in over 20 years when she decided she wanted to rekindle their relationship. They started off with phone calls and e-mails but hadn't actually got as far as meeting up in person again when he died suddenly. Now she'll never have chance to see him again. Fingers crossed he comes through this crisis but at least DS has had the time he has had rather than regretting the call if he left it too late to change his mind.

Frugal - er yes, I have to confess that I felt a strange kind of relief too - oh look, a little bit of a surface that looks a bit like one of mine!! Hurrah!!:D

BB - hope you are feeling a bit better today hun (((hugs))) xxx

No demessying today, but finished clearing out bedside drawers last night. By putting all the rubbish on the floor. *SIGH*:o Now tempted to nip into city centre (which I hate doing) and go to Boots on the offchance of picking up a sale bargain, and also to speak to YSL people about which shade of Touche Eclat I should get.....I don't trust myself to get the right one and at £25 a pop I don't want to make a big mistake! :)

OH has come in with the lovely clean towels, so I must put those away, or they'll still be in the bag when we go to bed tonight. So pleased I don't have to clean up after offspring anymore, just OH! :rotfl:

    :hello: Hello Messies :)

No de-messying here today as I have got a new contract 3 days a week indefinately so I was working :T No de-messying will be done tonight either as us working girls need a rest doncha know :rotfl:

I will have to find something to wear to work tomorrow and wash that tho :o

De-cluttered a part of my brain tho :D Which is good - I have a court case coming up which I fully intend to win and despite a !!!! up on my part, Solicitor said its perfectly salvagable and there is still no reason why I can't re-assign the papers so that is good. I could still kick myself as I instigated proceedings, and it was my mistake but at worst I will have to re-submit and start the process again which is no biggie - It just means it will take longer *sigh*

Apart from that, I am quite good atm - delighted with new job and get to go to a nice tidy desk each day, instead of sitting here in this pit :D I am so different at work to at home - my desk is always totally organised :T I wish I could find away of applying that tidyness to my home :o

Rummer - How are you today?
HelenJelly - I can see how my house is a mess as I just don't get things done and am lazy... But you seem to always be busy!

Hugs to all those who need/want them

    Fru xx
