Cat so sorry to hear about your ds dad keeping fingers crossed for him. Your family are really going through it at the moment hope things look up soon.
Went to psych, given sleeping tablets and a referal to a womens centre. Maybe it will lift my mood.
Laurel I bet those curtains come up great. It could be a record but I bet other messy people have things lurking in cupboards for years. My mum had tablets from 1976 which I discovered when helping her move.
Im going to have a deep clean tomorrow if I have the motivation.
The people who we were going to get the dog from have decided to keep him. The owner was in tears saying he could not part with him. So we are on the look out again so fingers crossed.

thank you helen, rosalie, and snookey xxx

and snookey, I really hope you feel better soon :( hopefully getting your sleeping pattern back to a more normal state will help :) Think I may ask about sleeping pills on Thursday, I've had them before and they did nothing but maybe something else will :)

think I'll pop round his house now with some towels to wash, feel like getting out for a bit :) And tomorrow I MUST get up early enough to phone that damned washing machine man!
  • Ahh Cat, that can't be easy. There's always hope xxx

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time
  • Cat - sorry to hear your news and hope for your DS's sake that they find the right treatment for his dad. At least they have the chance to spend time together - huge cyber hugs to you xxxxx

OH managed to trap second kitten this evening and it's now housed in an empty 4 ft vivarium. Have tried ringing cats protection but no one has got back to me yet. As I already have 6 cats we simply don't have room for any more!

There is a scientific principle which says that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Does this mean that if I tidy then I am causing mess for someone else????? I would hate to think this is the case, and maybe will have to give up tidying if this really happens :D (btw you may notice I can come up with many plausible reasons why housework is not a good idea - years of practise).

Well done to those of you who have made a dent in the eternal mess mountain, to those of you who had a cba day - just remember you are striving for a differently tidy home ;).

That's a wonderful theory and I fully endorse it! It's downright selfish to clean and tidy:D:D:D

Brilliant snookey! There's a Premier Inn in the city centre a quarter of a mile from the rail station, twin rooms are around £29 a night so if people didn't mind doubling up, it's reasonably cheap to stay over till the Sunday for anyone who wants to (me!), think it would have to be booked fairly earlyish though. Apparently lots of nice pubs and eateries nearby too :)

    Reflex 80s bar anyone? :D
