Question...
Why can't you make mould wet?
I brought a rather disgusting mug down from my bedroom and the blue mould just won't get wet! I've always wondered about that.....Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!
Curtain pole installed in the living room
Paint curtain pole
Window quilts for landing window & french door
Add shrink film to the kitchen door & insulate
Insulate front door
Bubble wrap windows & french door
Wash front door curtain
Blind for the bathroom
Find wrist warmers & the wool socks!
Wash heated throws
Wash duvet & wool blankets
Buy vest tops to go under clothes and PJs
Buy nets for bathroom and kitchen
Buy or make blind for kitchen0 -

Hi all and big hugs to those who need them....I suffer with depression and keep it fairly well controlled with meds. Unfortunately with this wrist situation Ive been even more disorganised than normal and have lost said meds!!Trip to pharmacy tomorrow I think to beg for a few till I can get repeat from gp.
Well today I said I would do ironing and give the kitchen a bit of a going over.........I did 2 BITS of ironing and washed kitchen floor and washed down the kickboard thingies (cant think of their proper name!).Did 2 wash loads and attempted to declutter the pit that is known as our bedroom. the decluttering was partially successful but ended up with a massive load of carp on the bed which I have just piled into a large carrier bag!!
On the plus side Hubby and I went to lunch and my son and granddaughter popped up to see us. Im determined to get a balance in my life....lots of lovely things to offset the boring housework!!
Well tomorrows ambitions are washing, ironing and a bit of decluttering in the kitchen after work but before I go to see one of my loveliest friends... thats my balance thing again!! I must ring AXA PPP re operation too tomoz so I can sort out date with consultant...thank goodness for private healthcare through work!!
Anyway nite all and again big hugs to those who need them...........xxx0 -
I am shattered and need bed but must get this list, this ridicuous list out of my head.
Also Congratulations to Messymare on the job and hugs to Cat and everyone else who may or may not be feeling crappy.
I cannot believe it is Monday.
!!!!!!.
Today I cleared part of the garden tidied my shed up moved a bench burnt a bag of papers, cleaned out all the animals and sort of tidied the conservatory. I have such an issue with paperwork.
The list
Mum wants to get a puppy. I do want too, but am not sure how likely this is happen. However putting that aside for a minute in order for the house to be puppy ready we need to.
1. move table out of kitchen to conservatory(make room for crate thing)
2. lose/store two cupboards from Conservatory (to make room for table)
3. fix the fence
4. move the sideboard and put tv and dolls' house on it
5. finish dolls' house.
6. clear e bay stuff from shed to store cupboards
7. clear my work out of conservatory
8. build fish pond to move goldfish into and sell fish tank in my room so I can have more space (for my stuff that was in the conservatory)
9. clear more stuff from shed for cupboards.
10. buy dvd and cd storage
11. declutter spare room for mum to put her stuff in (from Kitchen and conservatory)
12. make cover for sideboard to protect from scratches (:rotfl:)
13. sort post that currently resides in a huge basket in conservatory.
14 burn papers that should have been shredded
15. finish the garden so I can stop storing garden stuff in the shed (going to need a lot of room) and clean out other shed and lean thing to maybe move Guniea pigs into.
also need to
fix the leak in the bathroom (small and slow currentlyand may have magically stopped.)
sort loft
paint my room
paint the white bits in the house.
repaint kitchen.....
re carpet the kitchen, I don't mean with carpet, with something wipe clean........
and the bathroom needs well EVERYTHING!

ok...............so the chances of that happening whilst simultanously saving 20, 000 so I can move out are p r e t t y slim. however I shall do what I can when I can.........................................really I will!
however the annoying list is out of my head. Sorry to off load to you guys.

Cor blimey - that Leonardo da Vinci geezer was a bit special - homework has been started. I have to say that asking an 11/12 year old to do an indepth study of the afore mentioned man is a bit much!! Crikey - tha amount of info wanted by the school means that a thesis will be started and finished within 4 days by DD and me!!! She's not happy about it and is trying her hardest to get out of it and I can't say I blame her - its daunting the amount of work they want - Parents Eve on Monday and guess who will be moaning about it to every teacher much to DD's disgust lol

My 8 yr old is meant to research and fill 2 pages of A4 about Martin Luther King this week. It's proving hard-going for a lad his age to understand.catslovelycats wrote: »I thhink my alter ego is more likely to be Miranda Hart - falling off a stool or tripping over a chair!:D
Oh thanks for that - the biggest laugh I've had all weekend :laugh:Deep breath...
Hi all! Am a long time lurker on the board and thought it's about time I got brave enough to pop in to say hello and thank you to all the regular posters. I am, obviously, a fellow messy (as evidenced by many things..including the fact that half of my xmas decorations have still not made it back upstairs..and those that have are sitting in the spare room waiting to be 'put away'...hmmm..may be some time).
You are all a really lovely bunch and I have been encouraged by all the support that you have shown for each other to aim to make changes to the way I deal with things too. I now have 'baby steps' as my mantra...although baby doesn't seem to be taking many steps yet:rotfl:
Right...there are so many things you want to say on a first post but if I did I'd still be writing (and deleting again) and you'd have probably all gone to bed!...
Ummm.........I still havent finished putting all our xmas decs back either
Big hugs to all that need it. Reading todays posts though has made me realise what a lovely friendly and supportive group of people you are!XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX:wave:XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX0 -

I've got off me bum and washed the outsides of 3 windows and the patio doors - by no means perfect but at least you can see through them now - they were horrific and the sun was shining through them and showing how bad they were - just gotta do the insides now - well, maybe later

Yesterday I picked up via Freecycle a brand new 2 dr bedside unit - I was given lots of bits which I thought was very unusual and the ladies at the house were um . . . weird - something struck me as being wrong about the whole thing but you never know!! Anyhoo I have just decided to put it all together and yes its brand new but half the bits are missing and they have given me bits of a Schrieber unit that are not part of the new unit!! How odd! So I now have a half built unit and bits to complete another half of a different unit Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr What a waste of time, still, looking on the positive we now have wood that we need for the Lottie
