PP - I always feel ill if I have too much of a lie in!! I find that if I get up an hour later than normal thats ok but if I leave it any longer I have a bad head for the rest of the day.
I have big plans for today - well I did till I found out DH wasn't doing his overtime today and DS has not gone to his dads so the hours of un-interrupted peace I thought I was getting I'm not! Bum!!

Helen could you give DH and DS some jobs to do (or send them out for a walk with the dog) which would give you a bit of peace and quiet to crack on? Or say "blow the jobs, lets all get out in the sunshine" and either take the dog for a walk together or pootle up to your allotment for a bit?
My DH is currently sat on the sofa (the bit that's not covered in carp) watching some program on the history channel. He has said he'll sort the kitchen out though - so one less job for me :j
I think we're going for a walk later - probably park/canal/willen lake then home for hot chocolate and cookies
hope you have a good day either way

Hi messies, well it looks like the angels are thinking of us, providing sunshine for people who were needing it, its beautiful here, somewhat cold mind. I am fairly sorted, surface wise, so i am going to tackle my spare room. On sorting the rest of the place, i dumped unwanted stuff in there, and its nearly filled to the rafters with boxes of books, clothes, carp of all manner, old kettles, toasters, the list is endless. I have taken a picture of it, but not sure how to upload, i was going to do a before and after, to get me motivated, but am i brave enough, as if i dont get it done. Anyhow, have a lovely day, whatever your doing.0

PP - I might just do that [send them out] or DS will become physically attatched to the Wii - There were lots of Police at Willen when I drove past this morning - no idea why though!
The Kitchen is now sorted apart from the floor
Hall is now sorted apart from mopping the floor
LR next - DS is not impressed as it means turning off the Wii and finding something else to do lol

Morning all, another bright day here in Messy MK albeit cold
2 washloads on the line, another in the WM
Cupboard under sink emptied and tidied
Top oven cleaned with spray found under the sink - it was disgusting and has now been sprayed a second time.
DH has wire wooled all the baking trays and they are now sparkling like new, others which were long past it have been binned
We have agreed today is a work day, but are treating ourselves to the cinema later - a very rare occurence - The Girl with The Dragon Tattoo or War Horse.
Up in the loft in a minute to play Loft Tetris
Helen Jelly, PP any clues on why the police were round Willen Lake was planning a walk or bike ride round there later
Have a good day all0 -
Gilly - it was at 9.30 this morning that I saw them so would imagine that they have long gone now.
LR is half done, Hammy has been moved to DS's room until bedtime to give the dog a rest from drooling over it.

-if you dust the surface simply gets dusty again. Energy expended for no good reason.
-ironing - clothes get creased as you wear them get creased when you wash them, therefore normal state for clothes is creased not smooth
- cobwebs as I've said before are ecological fly traps and environmentally sound. In the winter they are an indoor wildlife area
- weeds in the garden are just wildlife areas
therefore no guilt is needed for having a messy house:)
:rotfl:Just love it! Think I might cut and paste this, if that's ok with you, SD?
Was bright and very frosty first thing, but now is dull and threatening rain, as forecast last night. How come they always seem to get the bad forecasts right?
Aims for today - hmm. Get at least ONE birthday card made, and make a good effort at starting the Feb issue of the local churches' newsletter. Vacuuming already done, and we managed to get the stables mucked out in record time today. Amazing what freezing weather can do.0 -
gilly, helen no idea here why the police where at willen lake earlier. Didn't hear any sirens or anything (although at 9.30 I'd only just got up :rotfl:)
We're going for a walk there in a bit, but probably only peace pagoda/hospice bit of the lake as we'll walk to the canal first then across to the lake.
Better go, DH is shouting that the bacon butties are ready

Thanks PP!! Now I want Bacon Butties lol. I think that yourself, myself and Gilly are all near to each other - I'm not far from Willen Lake.
Online banking done, Grocery Challenge updated and spends recorded [not looking pretty] Purse is empty as far as any of the family are concerned!!!
