My home is a mess

hello Messies - Helen, thank you - I was going to say I'm fine - because that's what us depressives always say:D - truth is I'm not sure how I am, but I'm not feeling awful so that's a good thing! Just lethargic and overwhelmed and getting to the point of not really caring, which is NOT a good thing!
I'm also struggling to keep up with the thread and all the fab new Messies, so many bits and bobs people have written I'd like to comment on but I just can't get to grips with it so sorry everyone:( I AM reading and enjoying all your posts.
MM hope you get good news ((hugs))
Welcome Bupster, sounds like you'll be at home here
- my Xmas cards are still up too:o
Frugal, sorry you are feeling down:( big hugs xxx And yes, I put 95% of my messiness down to depression and related fatigue. I WAS fairly messy as a child/teenager - but EVERY Saturday afternoon I'd blitz my bedroom, hoovering, cleaning windows, the works. And for about a month after moving into this flat I did the same every Sunday, but the whole flat. My mood and energy had been temporarily boosted by the move, shame it didn't last:rotfl:0 -
Hugs Cat, try if you can to get out a bit tomorrow even for just a walk to the shops and back so you are getting some sunlight and gentle exercise.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
-
Thanks Rummer - I know I should - the shops are right opposite me though which is a great excuse to be lazy:D
Me and DS are going to Aberdeen tomorrow evening, he's playing in a darts tournament on Saturday, so we're getting the bus up and staying at the hotel where the comp is for one night and coming back Saturday evening, it'll be nice to get away even just for a short time though it'll knacker me - and even nicer to have a big cooked breakfast!:j:j Diets don't count when you're in hotels, it's the law:D0 -
GRRRR! Just lost 2 posts!0

Frugal -& others debating link between Messyness & Depression - which came first (like hen & egg) ???0

IT`s NORMAL to feel low when place is a tip, till you get round to doing something, then get a buzz from that, then it gets trashed again, circle of Life sort of thing!0
-
Hi Emm
Depression first - then messiness - then a vicious circle!:) The worse one gets, the worse the other gets!
eta best get to bed, I have to....ahem....iron tomorrow. Yikes!Goodnight and hugs to all xxx

DRAT this bl00dy PC!!
Cat - ((HUGS)) - enjoy the break hun. At least you got round to putting your cards up - I didn`t!0 -
Hi Cat - but the better it gets tidy-wise, the more you get a buzz/mood lift. This is a sight more `normal` than the perpetual domestic goddess-run household!0

Doesn`t help when you`re the only one doing stuff in the house. Too late to change other members of my household - their ex`s tried & failed, that`s why they`re here!! Messy gits, but loved and glad to call this `home`.0
