  • MM, it`s 1.30 now - fingers crossed for you.

    Messy status report-
I think I must`ve been motivated by my lovely load of logs this morning. So far I`ve
been to the bank & done prof. registration fee payment
done a skip run (it`s on the way to bank)
    ordered/paid for some more coal
    filled birdfeeders & poo-picked
prepped stuff ready for `snappins` & my supper (chicken & veg stew with vermicelli noodles)

now off to pet shop as I discovered a 10% off voucher when sorting through paperwork earlier. Daftie-dogs` stuff is 40 quid a sack, and the current sack is getting low. And I need more birdfood. (The money off will cover a new birdfeeder as I noticed one has squirrel damage.)

Just popping on to wish MM belated good luck! And to add my tuppence worth to YL's schooling dilemma - I'd let your son go to the school his friends are going to :)
No demessying here, thought I was starting a cold and have slept for two days solid, but no sleep last night (got up at 3am and prepped veg for veg soup) and had to get up at 9 to take washing round to DS's dad's so I could use his machine, then take DS for his hospital appt (all ok). Then shopping in Mr A. Shattered now but trying hard to stay up so I'll sleep tonight! However - am sure I'm going to fail very very soon! Hugs all xxx

Well... I have to pick the DDs up shortly and I have achieved zilch except for half the tax return (which actually is quite a big achievement!)...

I will walk some stuff to the bin when I go out, walk to the shops with DDs then tackle the kitchen whilst they do homework. Then it will be supper, tv, bath and bed - They are having an early night tonight - too many late nights recently.

Then I 'might' open some wine and watch tv if I am not tired, or I will go to bed early myself.

Bit annoyed with myself at getting so little done this week :o

(and at some point, I really MUST take down the Xmas tree :o:o:o:o:o )
Putting these winter preps here so I don't forget!

Curtain pole installed in the living room
    Paint curtain pole
Window quilts for landing window & french door
Add shrink film to the kitchen door & insulate
    Insulate front door
Bubble wrap windows & french door
    Wash front door curtain
    Blind for the bathroom
Find wrist warmers & the wool socks!
    Wash heated throws
    Wash duvet & wool blankets
Buy vest tops to go under clothes and PJs
Buy nets for bathroom and kitchen
Buy or make blind for kitchen

    Afternoon Messies.

I hope MM's interview is going well. couldn't remember which day it was, so am sending belated good vibes.

Frugal, so glad to hear you found the documents - so worrying when something important like that apparently goes missing.

Gradually catching up with projects that I keep putting off. Most of them aren't even big projects, so that's no excuse. But perhaps the small ones are the easiest ones to put off? Have yet to put the newly covered seat back on Mum's telephone table, but I have the seat, she has the table. That WILL have to wait until tomorrow, though, because if I go across to her, she'll expect me to stay for an hour or more, and I can't afford the time today. Have cut out all the re-usable pieces from Christmas cards and old birthday cards, and have bagged up old craft mags for someone to pick up next week. Oh, and managed to fit in a short walk with the 'neds' this morning, just in case the weather really disintegrates in the next couple of days. Think I must now go and wash the kitchen floor while OH is out. :A

Well, it was scary but I think it went ok. It was with the director and I was quite intimidated at first, but she's turned out to be exactly the kind of manager I need - strict, to the point, doesn't let a problem snowball and has stamped out !!!!!ing in the workplace. Love it. She's also going to let the agency know by tomorrow afternoon, so I should know by 5.30 tomorrow. They only interviewed one other person...so I've got a 50 50 chance. Thank you for all the good vibes, I think they found me and stopped me from saying stupid things in the interview like I normally do!

Our greatest weakness lies in giving up; always try just one more time

My daughter has a little 3 foot tree in her room. She reckons she is going to keep it up all year because it will save putting it up again in December.:rotfl:

Her room is an absolute tip as it is with hardly any spare floor space. I am just waiting to see how soon it is before she gets fed up of it.

That sounds like it went really well.:) Fingers and toes crossed.

Lounge a bit tidier and DS (9) has just put the hoover round. Have someone from Freecycle coming round tonight to pick up the old king size mattress - turned out to be a mum from school so I feel the need for the house to be presentable!
